As I was watching the recap of Dancing with the Stars, the statement Harry Shum Jr. made after his dance performance stopped me and I said out loud, “yesssss, he said it!” 🔥

“I worked at my parent’s restaurant when I was 10, all the way until I was 18, while going to school and everything.” ✨

Julianne Hough asked, “you’re actually shooting Grey’s Anatomy at the same time and those are some long days. So how are you coping with both of this?” 🧐

His answer is what we know as children of immigrants 🫶🏼

The hustle of working for your family business.
The restaurant.
Or family hotel. 🏨

These things.
The long hours.
The two jobs.
The doing multiple things at once, while taking care of your family helps get you prepared for life. 💯

Doing life with grit.
Determination.
And a tenacity that nothing will get in your way of doing what you have to do. In order to make ends meet. 💪

Women supporting women is a superpower 🫶🏼

Over the weekend at the Korean American Community Foundation Giving Summit in San Francisco, California, I watched Audrey Nuna from KPOP Demon Hunters attend the event just to support her manager. 🇰🇷✨

Not only does Audrey Nuna, a Korean American songwriter and rapper, embody women empowerment and what strong sisterhood looks like through the movie KPOP Demon Hunters with Huntrix, she does it in real life too. 🥹

This is what the power of showing up looks like. ✨

🎶 PEACE (People’s Empowerment through Advocacy, Counseling, and Education) presents the annual Music for PEACE Event!

🤩 Join us on Saturday, October 17, 2026 at CBM Atlanta from 6:00-8:00PM to enjoy performances from @theblackgoldband and students, while also hearing about mental health projects created by PEACE Change Maker grantees. There will also be a silent auction and giveaways!

👥 This fundraiser helps us raise funds to support mental health for Asian American and Pacific Islander youth and young adults, aged 26 and under.

Never have I ever seen a Waymo like this…until coming to California. 😱

I thought there were only white Waymo’s but meet Ojai, the light blue boxy electric robotaxi (van) that looks like it’s smiling at you. 🚙

Apparently, this particular Waymo is only active in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and Phoenix. ✌️

I’ve never been to a sports game where they had such a unique lineup of performers. 💯

Here’s some of the featured performances at the WNBA playoff game for the Atlanta Dream game on September 27, 2026. 🏀

🥁 The Atlanta Drum Academy - a group that even was recently featured on @agt! They are the official drumline for the WBNA’s Atlanta Dream Team, a group of elementary, middle, and high school students in this percussion mentoring organization. Today’s group of students were middle and high schoolers!

💃🏼 Dream Supremes - a group of senior ladies who perform energetic routines during home games to promote active aging. It was so beautiful to watch them dance like no one was watching!

Kudos to Brooklyn Cartwright, the Assistant General Manager, for the tickets tonight and congrats on the win for the first playoff game! 🔥

The inclusion of performances were so memorable and you’re one of the reasons why the Atlanta Dream has been named the 2025 Best Atlanta Sports Team by the @atlantamagazine. ⛹🏾‍♀️✨

In the 35 seasons I’ve watched of Dancing with the Stars, this has to be one of the best dances I’ve seen. 💯

And what @ezrafrech, track and field Paralympic gold medalist, displays here is a masterclass of knowing one self. He says in the video package “I might do it differently, but I can do everything.” 👏

It’s not about what he cannot do. It’s about what he can do and how he does it well, DIFFERENTLY. 🔥

The beautiful thing about this whole performance is watching @daniellakaragach know the strengths and limitations of her dance partner and creating a dance that makes him shine. ✨

I see a man, not with a disability but a man who is 100% aware of how he shows up in the world, on and off the dance floor. And for that reason — I’m going to be cheering on this couple until the end. 🫶🏼

Ezra French is a Global Disability Advocate on a mission to normalize disabilities. He won two gold medals at the 2024 Summer Paralympics in Paris for the 100-meter sprint and high jump. He also competed at the 2020 Tokyo Paralympics as the youngest member of the U.S. Paralympic team. 🏅

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Atlanta Braves hosted @losbravos night and the first ever Los Bravos Community Ofrenda on September 23, 2026. ⚾️

The Ofrenda looked like it came straight out of the movie Coco. 🎥✨

The special community ofrenda display was set up to honor loved ones through photographs, flowers, favorite foods, and personal momentos. Fans were able to submit photos to honor and remember loved ones. 🥹🖼️

What a beautiful way to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month and helping to cherish the stories and memories of those from the Hispanic community. 🫶🏼

“Be open to love.” This is something I promised myself after leaving the LEAD Atlanta Retreat in September 2024. I was going to take a risk emotionally and be willing to face rejection in dating. I put myself out there in new ways I was too scared to try beforehand. 💯

I’ve had to look at love differently and finally told myself “I deserve the love I’m looking for.” 🫶🏼

And that has led me to you. Someone who is intentional. Who doesn’t hesitate when he’s made up his mind. And someone who teaches me it’s okay to not always have to be the one leading in the relationship. I can rely on someone else. 🥹

The hyper-independent woman in me is still learning what it means to be soft in a relationship and to embrace the “slow burn.” 🥰

Thank you for the most beautiful memories, from the big and small moments, from enjoying the Christkindl markets and spaghetti ice in Germany, to helping me make crafts for my best friend’s bridal shower, watching together my goddaughter play her Duke volleyball game, being cheesy to celebrate 100 days of dating (part of Korean culture), parasailing in Hawaii, celebrating your grandmother’s 100th birthday in Pennsylvania, or being so simple and profound in your words that has grounded me in ways I wasn’t expecting. 💜

The past 365 days have been amazing with you. Looking forward to another 365 days together and many more in the future! ✨

Happy 1 Year Anniversary of Dating Jeff. 🥳

One of my favorite weekends of the year, and serving as an Opening Retreat Co-Chair was nothing short of amazing! 🥹

Thank you @lead_atlanta, Merry Hunter, Sara, and Kelly Lee for giving us Retreat Co-Chairs (Gerard, Tunde, Haley, Ben, and me) the chance to be creative and to help set the tone for what will be an incredible year for this new class. 💙

The thing I was most excited about for the LEAD Class of 2027 was for them to experience joy from the “in-between moments.” These little moments were the things that made my retreat one of the most transformative experiences of my life. 💯

The theme was super clear this year: you are more than your job title. Doing good in the city means being rooted in who you are and bringing your full selves into everything you do. This year’s theme of the year is “Rooted in Legacy, Rising in Leadership.” ✨

Leadership cannot be done in isolation. Leadership is relational and has to be accomplished through community. 👥

To the Class of 2027 - I cannot wait to see your impact on the city and how you’ll grow personally. I’ll be rooting for you, from near and far. 🫶🏼

“You were chosen [into LEAD Atlanta] because you have something to contribute.” - Jen Hidinger-Kendrick, Founder & Sr. Director of Individual Giving 🌎

Just spent the weekend with 54 incredible leaders for a 1.5 day LEAD Atlanta retreat, individuals who are 29-34 years old. They are entrepreneurs, attorneys, nonprofit executives, consultants, and much more. ✨

Beyond their roles in the workplace, they are people with core values, experiences, and relationships which have shaped them to create lasting impact in the city, in their own unique ways. 💯

The word legacy has always been a cornerstone of my personal and professional ethos in how I show up. Today, I learned a profound new perspective on it in a way that brought me to tears, thanks to the powerful, vulnerable stories and anecdotes shared by the retreat’s challenge speaker, Jen. 📣

“Legacy = people who decide to do good tomorrow because they watched you do it first.” 🫶🏼

News flash: Atlanta is full, but never have I seen the airport busyness quite like this. 😮

Video from the train to ground transportation was taken on a Sunday morning at 9:30 in September 2026. 🚊

Video from people walking in line to take the escalator down to the trains to get to ground transportation was taken on a Monday morning at 8:30am in August 2026. 🚶🏻

Fact check: Atlanta Hartsfield is still the busiest airport in the world, due to passenger traffic and being the global hub for Delta, which drives some of its connecting flight numbers. In 2025, 106.3 million people passed through Atlanta. ✈️
