Hi dear ones, Hillary here with some news. 2026 marks 10 years since I followed my heart’s path to open my little dream business, Wildflower (pictured here in 2016 before the shop in Chattanooga opened its doors). Two years ago I closed up that shop and moved a pared down e-commerce operation to Brooklyn, where I live. There aren’t enough characters or words available to describe all the experiences I’ve had through owning this business for the last decade, but what a spectrum they are!

But if I’m being honest, I’ve found e-commerce lonely. I haven’t been able to recreate the feeling of deep and meaningful connection that being in the shop brought me, even though I do love to blend and ship you tea. In addition, even small commercial spaces and operations are expensive these days. I know you’ve all heard how hard it is out here for small businesses, so yeah, also that.

So here we are…it’s time for the next chapter. And I don’t know what it looks like exactly, but I’m going to wrap up my e-commerce focus for now and move out of my little studio. I’m feeling a tug back to my roots to more personal connection-maybe one-on-one consultations, custom blends, group workshops and offerings. We shall see. In the meantime-I will be making an effort to sell through as much inventory as I can. So if you want something, please order it soon. It’s go time, it’s pause and regroup time, it’s reinvention time. Much love and stay tuned! 💞🌿

Hey friend faces and Brooklyn boos. It’s been a minute since I’ve given any sort of yoga related update, and with a new studio location and classes on my schedule, I figured it was time! Here’s where you can find me regularly guiding practice…early birds we can be friends! All levels welcome at any of these.

Deep breaths and big changes on the horizon. Hillary here, founder of Wildflower, the little tea and herb shop of my dreams and manifestation of my heart. As many of you know, a few years after founding the shop in 2016, I moved away from Chattanooga in early 2020 (oh what timing!) and I’ve been running the shop from afar for the past three and a half years, first from New Orleans and now from New York City. And what a three and a half years they have been! As we all know, they’ve been rife with challenges, especially for small businesses, ESPECIALLY while doing it from across the country. Yet we made it through it all and I couldn’t be more proud (a small miracle really)! But when I’m honest with myself, I miss the business I created. I miss standing in that magical shop, blending and brewing teas and connecting with the community. That’s where I shine. I’ve been wrestling with this decision for well over a year, but I know it’s time for the business to evolve-and that means letting go of the Chattanooga shop. Whew, that was hard to write, and it’s going to be even harder to do! Wildflower as a business won’t be going away, but this chapter as we know it will close. I’m feeling every conceivable feeling as I anticipate turning the page and reimagining what Wildflower will become. I don’t know exactly what that looks like, but I know I need to be closer to it, and I’m trusting it will unfold as it should. Just like I did when I opened it seven years ago. So as we enter the final phase of this iteration, you have through the end of the year to come and soak up all the Wildflower shop magic you can (intentionally announcing this well in advance so you all have time to do this). We love our community, near and far, and your support over the years has meant the world to us. Now let’s send this soulful little space out with all the love it deserves, shall we?!

One of our team captains, this beautiful being is passionate about healing through movement and community, and has been finding value in exploring those connections. The Tailshakers have been a gift in her life, and she’s been a gift for the team! When she’s not shaking it across NYC, you can find her teaching yoga, creating supportive herbal tea blends, or probably talking to animals at home or in the wild!

June has been a fever dream and I’m coming up for air to try to capture some of it. Here is the first collection of 2026 Mermaid Parade shots. This was my fifth mermaid parade dancing with my beloved @thetailshakers. Our theme this year was “Filthy Fins-a Trashy Tail” The idea was to use and reuse trash to create our costumes…behold my trash bouquet and/or trash garden. I had the most fun making my collection of flowers out of various trash. 🗑️ The whole team looked incredible and the creativity was over the top. 🧜‍♀️💚💛

In the wee hours of the morning on April 12th our sweet Mom made her transition out of this life and into the great beyond. For many years it was just her and us three sisters. A true free spirit and tenacious beyond belief, there was never a dull moment in our lives together and she taught us so much. To care about other people, to love and respect nature, to create and make magic whatever the circumstances-but perhaps most precious of all, she gave us the gift of knowing we were loved beyond measure and without condition. There wasn’t a dream we could have dreamed that she wouldn’t have encouraged us toward. She helped bring so many visions into reality.

She has been through so much challenge in her lifetime. We very nearly lost her in 2016/17 due to sudden viral heart failure, but thanks to the brilliant transplant team at Vanderbilt, her heart donor (thank you forever Sky ❤️) and her sheer will to stay with her family-we got nine bonus years with her. We’re so very grateful for that. We’re grateful she can finally rest and she doesn’t have to struggle anymore. And we’re going to miss her, more than words can say. A little flow we’ve been working with in my vinyasa classes of late (sped up 2x for sharing purposes). Reminding everyone (and myself) to find space to pause, to breathe deeply and to commune with the internal realms this season. Take good care of yourselves and each other out there. 💕🙏🏼

When you choose to support small businesses (mine or otherwise), it really does mean the world. Creating these organic, small batch blends to support you and your loved ones is such an honor.

Just shy of 10 years since I opened this little dream business, and it’s evolved in so many ways, it’s followed me across the country, and connected me with some of the best humans. On this precipice, I’m feeling another evolution brewing in the near future. I’m contemplating how and what I want to bring into the next chapter of offerings-to support you and to support me. We shall see, so stay tuned!
