Throwback to my force plate hands on hips vertical jump almost a year ago at the Olympic Training Center in Lake Placid.

Crazy I know I can do way better now too.

Less than two weeks until I’m back in Lake Placid for training and then finishing off the ‘23-‘24 season with one more North American Cup + Selection Races. Excited to end this on a high note! by @hollywood__jet

Freight 🚂

Body feeling good. Even with this sprint volume at this weight.

Programming by @zac_kongonis w some hurdle work added in myself because I can’t resist an unlocked set of hurdles.

Some of my lifetime PRs that I’m most fascinated by.

What makes them all interesting is that they were all done under pretty suboptimal conditions, usually without a taper or in earlier cases in my career, with some pretty batshit training.

There’s a lot of variables that go into high performance so as I learn more and became more refined in my training, even after all these years, it’s fascinating to find what does and doesn’t work.

New cycle kicking off on road to a 4.3 40.

Those times coming in from @apexathlete.official Miami have me motivated this week.

Some new additions to the program.

Link in bio for $25 off your next @ovrperformance order. The jump and VBT trackers are my go to.

Great piece of equipment.

Primer day with @ovrperformance to track our lifts and jumps.

Link to $25 off your next purchase is in my bio.

The point of day is to prep the body to move as fast as possible during our sprint session tomorrow. We are using the OVR jump tester and VBT tracker to target certain speed thresholds on our lifts, and go for max intent on our jumps.

Great products.

Why did no one tell me how lit ts was before…

Shout out to all the various partners that made my first @mrolympiallc week 🔥. Glad to bring a perspective from outside of bodybuilding to some things. @muscleandfitness @extremeeatingchampionships @mrolympiallc by @hollywood__jet

Everybody’s favorite day—TEMPO 😃

Like many of you, my relationship with incorporating tempo runs into my training has differed over the years. I’ve always defaulted to the wisdom of my coaches, and I’ve been in programs where I’ve run mindboggling volumes of tempo (my collegiate career) to ones post-collegiately that have done anything from eschewing it entirely to implementing it with a more rational, conservative approach.

As a naturally heavy set sprinter, I always hated tempo workouts in the moment, but also appreciated its ability to auto regulate bodyweight ahead of the competitive season. It was also an essential bridge in building the tissue and aerobic capacity necessary for branching out into sprint and speed endurance work.

I am currently implementing such tempo and extensive plyo workout in my program to eventually prep for a return to work at longer distances 👀.

Also I’m working on my mobility I promise.
