🔑 Unlock Your Life by @house120nyc

Functional training doesn’t exist. ❌

“Functional” doesn’t mean kettlebells and battle ropes. It means the exercise builds work capacity that shows up elsewhere in life.

A heavy squat increases lower body strength for picking up your kids as they grow. An overhead press increases shoulder strength for putting that heavy box on a shelf. Sprints will increase your speed to be able to confidently catch your “early” train. Even a biceps curl counts, if your goal is just to look good in that tank top.

None of these exercises are functional on their own. They’re functional because of what they mean to your goals.

That’s the standard at House 120: every exercise chosen by our coaches has a function for your unique goals.

Strength training is important for everyone because it can play an important role in improving and maintaining bone density. It also helps preserve and build muscle mass, which becomes increasingly important as we age. When it comes to improving your body composition, strength training might be one of the closest things we have to a cheat code.

Here at House120, we take the guesswork out of figuring out where to start. At the beginning of your membership, we assess key metrics like your bone density, body composition, strength levels, and metabolic rate. Our Human Performance team then uses those results to create an individualized program designed around your body, your goals, and helping you reach your infinite potential. by @house120nyc

BASELINE Part 2

House 120’s Baseline Assessment process includes comprehensive strength testing and a physical therapy assessment with our Human Performance Team.

Our Strength and Conditioning coaches examine your strength and form while completing major movement patterns and create a fitness plan based on your performance but most importantly, your goals.

Our Physical Therapists focus on any areas of pain or discomfort to being the healing process, while addressing mobility and joint dysfunction to improve your overall performance.

Combined with your diagnostic testing (see last post) this comprehensive onboarding creates a complete picture of your health and performance—so every recommendation is tailored to your body, your goals, and where you are today.

BASELINE Part 1
At House 120, your plan starts with data, not guesswork. 📊

3 of the diagnostics behind your Baseline are:

🔹 DEXA — measures your body composition in detail: lean mass, fat mass, and bone density. The results show us where to build strength, preserve muscle, and focus your training.

🔹 RMR — measures exactly how many calories your body burns at rest. Your nutrition plan is built around your metabolism—not a generic formula.

🔹 VO₂ Max — measures how efficiently your body uses oxygen, one of the strongest predictors of cardiovascular health and longevity. The results define your optimal cardio zones and training intensity.

These are just 3 of the assessments we use to develop your one integrated life plan. .

#House120 #ConnectingTheDots by @house120nyc

We’ve never had more data about our bodies, our performance, and our potential. Wearables, bloodwork, biomarkers, scores — more inputs than any generation before us.

But data isn’t action. It’s just dots scattered in the atmosphere, waiting for meaning.

House 120 connects those dots, turning complexity into clarity and science into a personalized plan for living longer—and better. by @house120nyc

Every breath tells your nervous system a story.

One of stress.
Or one of safety.

Learning to control your breath is learning to control the foundation of performance, recovery, and longevity.
