I Help Executives Enhance Employee Engagement, Boost Performance & Increase Retention, Guaranteed.
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
There’s something surreal about seeing your message come to life on screen.

The amazing @stevencrissien and his team at Uplevel Marketer just delivered something I’ve been building toward for years.

My speaker sizzle reel is live. Woohoo!

Watching it back, I wasn’t just thinking about how it looked. I was thinking about the years of personal & leadership development, business experience, coaching, speaking, and hard lessons that shaped the message behind it.

I also found myself excited about the future as I consider the impact of the work I’m blessed to be a part of.

I thought about the executive calling six weeks after a workshop to say voluntary turnover has dropped.

I thought about the team leader whose people started showing up with sustained energy that shifted the culture of the team and helped drive record performance.

That’s the kinda stuff that gets me excited!

At the core, my message is simple: fulfilled employees stay longer, engaged teams perform better, and organizations that get intentional and think differently about culture stop paying the expensive costs of disengagement and a revolving door.

If you book speakers and want your audience walking out with something they can implement, not just a story they forget the next week, I’d love to connect!

I met one of my heroes.

Outside of Michael Jordan when I was a kid, as an adult, I don't have many heroes. But, Ed Mylett is one of the few.

For several years while we were homeschooling, our family had a routine. Before bed, we'd gather together, watch episodes of Ed Mylett's show (and Tom Bilyeu's, another person I admire deeply), and then talk about the lessons.

Mindset. Discipline. Faith. Success…

We made it a part of our curriculum. The conversations shaped how my kids thought about life, leadership, resilience, and success.

A few years back, I shared with my kids that I would visit Ed's house and sit on his couch like so many others he interviewed. Nope, I didn't have any connections to Ed. But, that detail didn't matter. I had a quiet yet unrelenting resolve that I would.

And, I recently had the opportunity to do just that!

I didn't just meet him briefly. But, I got to spend the day with him, along with a small group of a few others.

And, if that weren't enough, following that amazing day, his one-on-one coaching, encouragement, and genuine generosity have been nothing short of life-changing.

What struck me most was this, the man behind the microphone is the same man in real life. Thoughtful. Intentional. Encouraging.

Getting to meet and spending personal time building a genuine relationship and learning from someone you admire and who has influenced your thinking for years is a rare experience (at least for me).

It's often said that you shouldn't meet your heroes (because they're human, just like you and me and may let you down). But, that's a tough way to live. And, I'm glad I disregarded the notion.

Ed, I appreciate you. You are one of God's great gifts.

One of the greatest revelations I've ever had - I am the problem!

If my situation is going to be fixed, I need to take a long, hard look in the mirror.

I've given God far too much credit for the stuff that He has given me control of!

Thanks, @urdailypets and @tombilyeu, for the funny, true, and painful reminder.

My son competed in his final cross-country meet for the season yesterday.

Watching him run reminded me of two truths that apply far beyond sports...

Attitude and effort.

Natural talent matters.
Physical ability matters.

But neither determines your attitude. And neither determines your effort.

Those two are choices.

In sports.
At work.
In leadership.
In life.

You choose how you see the challenge in front of you.

And that choice influences how you show up for it.

You may not control the circumstances.

But you control your attitude and your effort.

So today, regardless of what you're facing:

Choose well. by @ianmwatts

Your best AI people know exactly what they're worth. 👀

Gartner is predicting that companies without a people-centric AI strategy will lose their top AI talent.

A tech win doesn't keep your stars. Feeling known does.

Here's the move: book a one-on-one that has nothing to do with work. Ask what they're chasing outside the job. What keeps them up at night? What would make them leap out of bed? Then help them get there.

That's how you build real reciprocity, and it's the heart of what we teach at Employee Success Company.

21% globally engaged.

That's Gallup's 2026 number. Lowest in 11 years.

What the headline buries: only 13% of workers show all three core markers at once, discretionary effort, emotional commitment, purpose alignment. (McKinsey/Mercer, 42,000 workers.)

Most of what companies spend billions on doesn't touch any of those.

Perks improve satisfaction. They don't change the relationship. Engagement is a relationship problem.

22 years ago, I said “I do” to you. I had no idea how much life we would live together, or how many reasons I would have to thank God for you.

We’ve shared dreams, faced hard seasons, and held fast to God’s promises when we couldn’t see what was ahead. Through it all, you have been my helpmate, my best friend, and my greatest blessing.

I love you more today than I did 22 years ago. Happy anniversary, my love. I’d choose you again, every single day. ❤️ by @ianmwatts

$438 billion. That is what SHRM says manager disengagement costs in lost productivity.

And when a manager checks out, their team follows within 90 days.

At Employee Success Company, engagement is EBITDA. Not a soft metric. Not a culture thing. A bottom-line reality that shows up whether you are measuring it or not.

When your people do not feel seen, something essential switches off. You will not find that cost on a clean line of your financial statement. But it is there.

What are you doing to make sure your leaders feel as invested in as you want their teams to be? by @ianmwatts

Stories matter.

For example:

Event: A manager doesn’t respond to your email.

Story: “They’re ignoring me because they don’t respect me.”

Meaning: “I’m not valued.”

Emotion: Frustration, anxiety, or anger.

Behavior: Withdrawal, defensiveness, or confrontation.

The same event could produce a different story—“They’re probably overwhelmed”—leading to patience instead.

Want different outcomes?

Perhaps you should tell yourself better stories. taken in Naples, Florida by @ianmwatts
