This is your invitation to experience the future of health.

@eudemoniasummit is coming to @palmbeachesfl November 5–8 for four days bringing together science, longevity, movement, mindfulness, emerging health technologies, human performance and community.

But what makes Eudēmonia special goes beyond the protocols and innovations. It’s the community: people who are genuinely curious about health, passionate about living well, and excited to connect with others who share the same values.

Learn from leading voices in health and wellness, experience new treatments and technologies, move your body, ask questions, and meet the people helping shape the future of wellbeing.

Because better health isn’t only about what we optimize individually. The people we surround ourselves with matter too.

I’ll be there, and I’d love to see you there.

A biomarker is only as good as the lab that measures it 🧪🩸

@ilhui initially had her CRP measured at a laboratory in Mexico, where the result was reported simply as <6, which offers very limited clinical precision. @nopara73 encouraged her to retest in the United States through @questdx and the difference was clear. The measurement was far more precise and lifted her to 9th in the Longevity World Cup 🏆 by @ilhui

I recently had the opportunity to undergo a brain MRI, and the experience left me with a profound sense of gratitude for the extraordinary complexity of the human body.

It’s fascinating to reflect on how the architecture of our neurons echoes patterns found throughout the universe. The branching networks of the brain bear a remarkable resemblance to the cosmic web, revealing how similar principles of organization can emerge across vastly different scales. In many ways, our neural networks also resemble the artificial neural networks that power modern LLM. Inspired by the brain, these systems learn by recognizing patterns, predicting as the neocortex and strengthening connections through experience and continuous feedback loops that allow the consolidation of knowledge.

It’s a reminder that nature is the original engineer. The intelligence we are creating with AI is, in many respects, a reflection of the biological intelligence that has been evolving for millions of years. taken in Helsinki by @ilhui

Have you ever wondered how mild stress can actually benefit you?

Plants under mild environmental stress can produce more protective compounds, including polyphenols and other phytochemicals. The idea that these stress signals may also benefit the organisms that eat them is called xenohormesis. Humans have our own version: hormesis. Exercise, HIIT, sauna, and temperature stress challenge the body just enough to trigger adaptation and resilience.

Hormesis follows a dose-response relationship. The benefit comes not from stress itself, but from our ability to adapt and recover from it.

Perhaps stress is not always something we should avoid.
In the right dose, stress can be a biological signal to adapt, strengthen, and grow.Have you ever wondered how mild stress can actually benefit you?

Brain health conversations tend to focus on diet, sleep, and exercise , all essential. But there’s a fourth pillar that gets far less attention: ongoing, active learning. A brain that keeps encountering new skills and ideas keeps rebuilding its own scaffolding. A brain that stops tends to let that scaffolding quietly decay. Aging well may be less about protecting the brain you have and more about continuing to use it.

From the gut and mouth to the skin and reproductive tract, our bodies host distinct microbial ecosystems that constantly interact with us.

In the gut, what we eat helps shape which microbes thrive. Fiber, plant diversity, and fermented foods can help support a more diverse microbial community.

And these microbes do far more than help digest food. Their metabolites interact with our immune system, gut barrier, metabolism, and even the brain through neural, immune, and hormonal signaling along the gut-brain axis.🧠

The more we understand our evolutionary relationship with microbes, the clearer one thing becomes:

Taking care of our microbial ecosystems is part of taking care of ourselves.

What do the world’s longest lived people have in common?

After of research on centenarians and healthy aging, science continues to point to the same conclusion. While there is no universal diet, the eating patterns of long-lived populations share striking similarities. 🫘🍠

They are rich in plants, fiber, whole foods, fermented foods, quality protein and seasonal ingredients, with minimal ultra-processed foods.

Rather than copying a single culture’s diet, the better approach is to understand the principles that consistently promote a longer healthspan and adapt them to your own needs, lifestyle, and preferences.

In this edition with @newzapiens, we explore the science behind longevity nutrition, from the compelling science about gut microbiome, the power of fiber rich foods to the benefits of sharing meals with family, community, and beyond.

Join the @newzapiens community to discover evidence based insights, connect with like-minded people, and stay up to date with the latest longevity research designed for busy professionals.

Colorectal cancer is now the No. 1 cause of cancer-related death among people under 50. Here’s what Stanford Medicine experts want you to know. 🩺

Once considered primarily a disease of older adults, colorectal cancer is rising steadily among people in their 30s and 40s. Today, 45% of new diagnoses occur in people under 65, compared with just 27% in 1995.

Although no single cause explains the rise in early-onset colorectal cancer, researchers have identified several risk factors, including some we can modify:

🥦Diet: Diets high in processed and red meats are associated with a higher risk, while leafy green vegetables and adequate fiber are associated with a lower risk.

🦠Gut microbiome: Fiber-rich plant foods feed beneficial gut bacteria, which produce compounds such as butyrate that help maintain the colon lining and support a healthy inflammatory response.

🦠Dysbiosis: A microbial imbalance (often driven by low-fiber, high-fat Western diets) reduces protective, short-chain-fatty-acid-producing bacteria and enriches harmful pathobionts.

🏃🏻Physical activity: A sedentary lifestyle is consistently linked to higher cancer risk. Staying active and taking regular breaks from prolonged sitting may help.

This October 10th in Miami, come join us! 🏃‍♀️🍵

We’re excited to bring the Longevity Miami community together for a Zone 2 run by the sea, followed by matcha, coffee, and meaningful conversation.

📅 When: Saturday, October 10, 10:00 am

📍 Meeting point: Pirate Park near the playground at Alto del Mar Park

🏃 Route: 2 km toward Bal Harbour Beach and 2 km back, for a total of 4 km.

🍵 Afterward: Matcha or coffee at The Love Loaf

We’ll begin by saying hello and warming up together before running. After the run, we’ll head to The Love Loaf for matcha and coffee, and if you fancy something delicious, enjoy artisan sourdough baked goods, using fresh, high-quality ingredients.

Why Join?

Build your aerobic foundation: Zone 2 training supports healthy mitochondrial function, metabolic efficiency, and your muscles’ ability to use oxygen and fat for energy.

Support long-term health: Cardiorespiratory fitness is one of the strongest predictors of long-term health outcomes and mortality risk. Although improving VO₂max also requires higher-intensity exercise, Zone 2 builds the aerobic base that helps us move better, recover more effectively, and remain active for decades.

Connect authentically: Meet people who share your curiosity about science, health, fitness, and longevity in a welcoming environment.

Make health a lifestyle: Longevity is built through community, connection, consistency, and enjoying the process together.

Easy miles. Good people. Matcha 🍵 or coffee ☕ afterward.

Come with good energy, curiosity, and a love for science, longevity, and meaningful connection. There’s no complicated agenda, just a community of people who want to live longer, healthier lives.

Come for the run. Stay for the connection.

We look forward to seeing you there!

Hi dear friends,

Sauna is great and even better after a good workout.

Over time, my VO2MAX has climbed to 47, which still feels a little surreal. But it wasn’t one dramatic change.

It was the small things that kept compounding: running, HIIT, sleep, nutrition, recovery, and yes, one of my favorite rituals, getting into the #sauna after a hard workout. 🧖

There’s something about finishing an intense session, stepping into the heat, slowing down, and letting your body transition into recovery mode while pretending you’re at a peaceful Finnish spa instead of voluntarily roasting yourself.

Today I’m sharing why a sauna session after HIIT may be an interesting addition to your routine, especially when it comes to heat adaptation, cardiovascular conditioning, and recovery.

Just one important reminder: hydrate well, because HIIT plus sauna means a lot more fluid loss.
