POSTS STORIES REELS

2025… what a year!

We watched girls find their voice, write their stories, build confidence, and learn how to care for their mental health.

This year we:
• Published 15 young authors
• Served 80 students at summer camp
• Hosted programs across 4 Houston locations
• Received over $50K in funding + a $20K grant
• Gifted hygiene kits, laptops, Christmas toys, and support to girls who needed it most

Thank you to every partner, admin, donor, volunteer & student who made this year unforgettable.

SHAKE IT OFF, GIRL!

Feeling stressed? Shake it, take a deep breath, and watch the glitter settle. And as the glitter settles, so can you!

Yesterday, our Girl Bosses at Bammel Middle School learned that while we can’t always control what happens around us, we CAN learn how to manage how we respond!

During our Calming Jar Workshop, the girls created their own calming jars while learning healthy coping skills for dealing with stress, frustration, and overwhelming emotions.

We ended with some Girl Talk, discussing what happens when we ignore stress, when to pause instead of react, and how to give ourselves permission to just BREATHE.

Thanks @candidlycoachk!

Help us wish a VERY Happy Birthday to our very own Tatiana Scott! 🥳

When we say @fitwithcurves is an OG of @immefoundation, we mean it! She’s been rocking with us since 2013, and all these years later, she’s still bringing the same joy, energy, love, and LIFE to everything she does! 💕

Over the years, we’ve had the privilege of watching Tatiana pour into the lives of our girls, and now we’re honored to have her serving in a new capacity as one of our board members!

What makes Tatiana so special is that she doesn’t just support our mission. She genuinely believes in it, lives it, and has been part of helping us bring it to life for over a decade!

Tatiana, thank you for growing with us, believing in us, and always showing up with your whole heart. We love you, we appreciate you, and we’re so grateful you’re part of our family!

🎂 Happy Birthday, Tatiana! Everybody show our girl some birthday love in the comments! 🎉💚

We’re officially at Bammel Middle School! 💕

Last week, we kicked off our very first after-school program with @candidlycoachk, and these girls brought ALL the energy!

Our first session was all about getting to know each other, building connections, creating their own mantra, and of course, showing off a few dance moves!

We laughed, we learned, and most importantly, we started creating a space where every girl can feel seen, heard, and empowered to be herself.

We’re so excited to see our girls again TODAY! This is just the beginning!

We’re celebrating our Sweet 16! 🎂 JJ’s I’m Me Foundation celebrates 16 years of empowering girls in Houston and beyond!

What began in 2010 as a vision to help girls recognize their worth has grown into 16 years of mentorship, meaningful experiences, summer programs, service projects, and unforgettable moments. We are grateful for every girl, family, volunteer, donor, and community partner who has been part of this journey.

Will you help us celebrate with a birthday gift? 🎁 Your generosity allows us to continue reminding girls that they are seen, valued, capable, and enough.

The girls in Kenya taught us some dance moves so we thought we should do the same! #dougie by @immefoundation

What a beautiful day!

This week we collaborated with @twst4girlshtx to help open a computer lab and “The Care Cabinet” at Wire Girls School in Oyugis, Kenya. It was one of the most beautiful, humbling days of this trip. While we were there, @sayyes2manners hosted an etiquette workshop for the girls and their pen pals, teaching them how to network and navigate dining etiquette.

Being there taught me so much. The girls wake up at 3:30am everyday, and class runs from 4:30am to 7:00pm, with just two breaks, at 10am and 4pm. 😳 Two scoops of water is all each girl gets to clean herself every morning. And ninety girls share one single dorm room.

I watched our girls take all of this in, and I think they’re realizing, in real time, just how different their everyday lives are from the lives of the girls they met here. by @immefoundation
