BUT GOD.

Yesterday I delivered my first message during a Sunday service at @yourinspirationnow, and God just blew my mind.

The message was called “But God,” and I walked through the story of Joseph in Genesis. After more than 22 years, his brothers come to Egypt and Joseph reveals himself to them for the first time. It is a story about forgiveness, about choosing it even when you have every reason not to.

The Holy Spirit showed up and showed out. It was a beautiful day, one I will always cherish.

Thank you to Pastor @carlosjonesll and Pastor Sparkle for opening the door and walking me through the process. I am grateful. by @jjonthemic

I accepted the #BeTheOneChallenge, and my one today is Chef Crys.

Almost two years ago, God gave me a vision for the Blessed Rest Retreat…a place where women can get away from the chaos of life, rest, encounter God, and just be poured into.

God put Chef Crys on my heart right away.

She has a big heart for people. She cares about every single detail, and about how you feel when you eat her meals. Last February, when it was 32 degrees and raining in Houston, she was outside cooking amazing meals in the rain and the mud.

Chef Crys, I couldn’t do this without you. Thank you for being you, for being amazing, for your friendship, and for saying yes to this vision. 🙏🏾

Now I’m challenging @carlosjonesll, @candidlycoachk, @willc27, and every one of you…who is your one? Who is making a difference in your life? Post your video, tag them, and use #BeTheOneChallenge. Let’s give people their flowers while they’re still here to receive them. by @jjonthemic

Happy 30th Birthday to the New Living Translation! #ad

One of the things I love about the NLT is how easy it is to read and understand. There are times when I’ve read a Scripture in the NLT and thought, “Ohhhh… NOW I get it!”

And that doesn’t mean it’s a paraphrase. The NLT is an actual translation created by more than 100 biblical scholars working from Hebrew, Aramaic, and Greek texts. It’s accurate, but written in a way that makes God’s Word feel clear, accessible, and beautiful to read.

For 30 years, the NLT has been helping people understand the Bible and connect with what they’re reading, and that is definitely worth celebrating.

I’ll put the link in my Stories if you want to check out the NLT Bible I’m sharing and explore some of the different options like the Filament-enabled, which is SO cool! You can actually scan the page you’re reading with your phone and instantly pull up study notes, devotionals, videos, maps, audio Bible content and more to help you go deeper.

Happy 30th, @nltbible! 🎂

Just because you have a lot of followers, group chats, and online “friends”... doesn’t necessarily mean you have real connection.

Pastor @waynefrancis new book, Make Friends with Anyone, breaks down what genuine friendship actually looks like and he uses Jesus as the example. Wayne walks through 5 levels of friendship that help you figure out who to invest in, how much to share, and what to expect so you stop overextending yourself or feeling guilty when a connection doesn’t go deep!! What’s the difference between a good friend and a healthy friend? He is going to tell ya!

What word best describes the current season of your life? 👇🏽 by @jjonthemic

#ad I found a book of poems for the days when life is heavy AND you’re still choosing to stay faithful anyway. This Side of the Sky has 101 modern poems, Scriptures, and meditations that put words to what we feel but don’t always know how to say…motherhood, marriage, grief, the ache for Heaven while still trusting God in the chaos of today. @laurawifler even wrote on the harder realities too like pain, suffering, raising children with disabilities.

It’s beautifully done with creative page layouts, gorgeous end sheets. And if you’re an audiobook girl, Laura narrates it herself with bonus content included.

A great read for the days when everything feels like too much. It’s a reminder that God is close, even when life doesn’t feel like it.

Go grab your copy in my stories!

POV: You get the chance to ask Matthew West a question…. and this is what I said 👀

Seriously though, it was such a blast getting to sit down and chat with Matthew West! So grateful for the opportunity and all the laughs along the way. by @jjonthemic

Our February 2027 retreat has completely sold out! I am beyond grateful for every woman who said yes to rest!!

There is something very special about gathering in the woods with women seeking God’s presence that I genuinely cannot put into words. It’s so beautiful.

We’ll be announcing our next dates for fall 2027 in a few months. Once announced, they’ll go fast. Don’t wait this time. Sign up for our newsletter (link in bio!) so you’re the first to know when doors open again.

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I can’t wait to see some of you in the woods. 🤎

#50StatesBefore50 Told my best friend @tamekayoungofficial that I was staying in a potato 🥔 and she said “I’m in.” We hadn’t seen each other in a year! We went hiking, kayaking, hot springs, chasing waterfalls at Shoshone Falls, and yes, actually sleeping in a potato-shaped Airbnb (10/10 would recommend). Boise was lovely! Montana’s is up next! 5 states left on this journey!
