Where to start? I wrote to Clara about 5 years ago, when she was still creating her candles @shopcopito - It took two more years before we actually met. Her being a creative, a mother and a ‘go-for-it’ woman inspired me extremely and still does. I am so grateful that our video collaborations turned into a friendship! In the beginning of this summer I’ve met Samantha. She is the creative mind behind @_altravita - I’ve done one of her wax casting classes and we started talking about her launch this fall. A couple of weeks later I’ve visited her and captured this ancient craft that she discovered for herself a year ago. She shares her studio with @ignaciocarmonaa - both combined felt like traveling back in time. taken in Gràcia, Barcelona by @isabellthrun

RITO 02.LIMINARIS is still becoming.
We remain inside The Creative Lab — listening, shedding, reorienting.

We are still here.
Holding what autumn broke open.

This season moved us, unsettled us, asked us to slow down. To listen more deeply.
To let the experience change us before we offer it.

In March 2026 we will open the threshold.

RITO 02.Liminaris — The Creative Lab

A space of artistic communion and experimentation.

The Creative Lab is the heart of RITO — a collaborative process where selected artists and creators come together to shape a living, sensorial experience.
Through dialogue, intuition, and ritual, we explore the common space between disciplines, blending art, sound, movement, and matter into a shared narrative.

Each edition unfolds around a curatorial theme — this time, LIMINARIS; the threshold. A space of transition, transformation, and subtle beauty.

The LAB becomes a fertile ground where ideas are embodied and ephemeral works are born, giving life to a collective ceremony that bridges the intimate and the universal.

Something really special is cooking.

This giant candle was created by @shopcopito for @thinkingmu
When @clarainfante first told me about the project, I couldn’t really imagine the scale of it. I had only seen smaller prototypes in her studio.

Documenting these exciting and stressful moments, those “Is this actually going to work?” kind of moments, was something special. Checking the metal mould to make sure it wasn’t leaking... just imagine the amount of wax - 100 kg of beeswax (!!) that could have easily flooded out.
The challenge of having enough beeswax and figuring out how to transport this 1.2 meter-tall candle to the shop. But it all worked out.

Clara’s determination and curiosity in approaching a project like this were truly inspiring.

When I first came across Inny, it was in 2016, through the internet. I came across her poem ‘Remember’ , I could feel her words. At the time, I was just a couple of months away from beginning my travels around the world. I reached out to her, hoping we could meet when I stopped in New York. That felt so far away. A year later I sat on the train to New York City, I had no place to sleep, so I posted on Facebook, asking if anyone knew someone. Inny’s name popped up and she offered me her couch.
I was so excited to finally meet her, to tell her how much her words had meant to me.

We spent two days together, wandering around Brooklyn, talking about boys, love, and wishful thoughts about the future.

Capturing her, in her home, in places she knew so well, with people she shares her day with, was an honour.

Opening your door to a stranger can create something strong and beautiful. We may all be different, but deep down, we share the same longing for connection.

One question she asked me that surprised me was, ‘aren’t you afraid to travel alone?’ I said no. She answered ‘People have guns.’ Until that moment, I remember, it didn’t cross my mind, to walk fearful through the US.

A funny side note, at the house of Frida Khalo, in Mexico (2 months before I came to NY) I’ve met one of Inny’s old school friend @kayquaa . A musician that traveled like me. Our mutual friend was Inny. The world is big, but actually it’s a village. by @isabellthrun
