This time last year there were several trusted voices in my life that told me that I needed to lean into writing and sharing my story, confirming what I was already sensing my next would look like. After almost a full year of starting, stopping and picking it back up, taking a few naps, and starting over again-I am finally releasing my BLOG. (How millennial of me I know...). It’s been the most challenging and vulnerable thing I’ve ever done. There are things I genuinely felt embarrassed to share, but I knew they were necessary to tell. I hope that as I gradually pull back the mask I once wore, it will encourage others to do the same so that we can all heal little by little.

My first post releases tomorrow morning (sweet baby Jesus🫣)

The thing is… We can see you on our stories 👀🫪👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏼 totally kidding… But really it is a great lesson about asking for help… it’s crazy to think that we are 25 days into this challenge that we committed to doing for 30 days… The beautiful thing is the middle doesn’t stop here every single Monday we will be meeting you in the middle in a long form way… Let’s get to know each other, and let’s commit to normalizing the process of getting comfortable in the uncomfortable.

Today we took part in a really impactful training regarding mental health for the profession that we are in… In all reality, this is something that all of us should invest in for ourselves… It’s important to utilize all the tools in our toolbox… 🧰‼️👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏼

There are a few things more beautiful than marriage… Couldn’t have been a better way for us to spend our day and the days leading up celebrating this incredible couple. There will be a more formal post at some point. I’m only sure… But how fitting is it that today is marriage in the middle!

There was a moment recently where I felt like I had become a shell of myself. I didn’t really recognize myself anymore. I was in a moment where who I once was felt extremely distant, and I was completely blind to the “new” that God was creating in me…

That’s what being in the middle of transition can feel like, and it really does make you feel like that mush that was once a caterpillar inside of the cocoon. By God‘s unrelenting grace and the power of deciding to partner with process, my circumstances didn’t change initially, but my lens 🧐 that I was seeing life through changed. And that made all the difference.

It showed me that this transition was not to subtract from who I once was, but to add to who I thought I was.

I hope whoever is reading this or watching this knows that just because things don’t look the same as they once were, and may temporarily feel worse-it doesn’t mean that your future is worse-it just means that you are becoming something that you never expected. Give it time. Commit to the painful process. Lean into the unknown. If you were divinely lead into this transition, I promise you’re losing in order to win again.

about three months ago, we were going through a series of events in our lives that required us to embrace the fact that being in process was inevitable, and God started to show us how we often feel like the process can be skipped, but it couldn’t be further from the truth… We have a very clear mission to normalize the process and the journey and lean into allowing God to work out all of the pieces that make up his promises as we journey… We want to invite you to join us in The Middle!
