Four months later, I’m back, and I’ve got something to say.

This year has been one of the most challenging seasons of my life internally, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m learning what it truly means to rejoice in suffering. As I’ve allowed myself to be broken before God and others, I’ve started to see myself in a deeper way… I believe it’s the way God intends for us to see ourselves… This is the process of healing, prioritizing mental health and emotional intelligence… I see things way more clearly than I ever have, my lens has been wiped and the smudges have been removed.

The journey of healing and wholeness is a messy process, but we serve a Master who turns messes into masterpieces. I’m not here to do anything flashy or promote a new product; I’m here to share all of me in hopes that it helps you explore deeper parts of yourself that maybe you’ve never touched. My prayer is that it draws you closer to God and that you hear His voice through what He’s revealed to me.

I’m overwhelmed and beyond excited to release my story, which is really God’s story still being written. I invite you to join me on this journey. Tips w/ Ty is a space to be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to walk in God’s purpose for your life.

I promise you this is the absolute truth… There is no one on the planet who can ever replicate who you are, God has uniquely created you with a specific purpose in mind and he is the director of your story… There’s a version of you that you haven’t even met yet and all of us, no matter how far we are on the journey with God are still discovering it as it unfolds daily… My encouragement to you today is own what makes you who you are!

The version of you that God always knew… And the more you surrendered to him, he will show you dimensions of yourself You didn’t even know were possible. ♥️🎙️👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏼‼️🎬

Had to bring back the 1:1 dimensions for this because it felt like a double sided rap album with features and exclusives from the 90’s early 2000’s with the hidden album art in the sleeves 💿… creatives, artists, innovators, entrepreneurs, those who felt like their gifts and talents couldn’t be used by God… this goes out to you!

THE WHOLE TRUTH & NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! 🎯💯

here’s the reality… We were created on purpose with a purpose, God had a brilliant idea in his mind concerning your life, there are a lot of things that are broken and distorted in the world that we live in today… I am fully convinced that the brokenness and the chaos is a byproduct of an adversary who despises the fact that God decided to create human beings in his image and likeness… but God had a plan for that, and that plans name is Jesus!!

One of the most powerful things that we can do is commit to pursuing Jesus… He lived perfectly, fully God, and fully man… He had to become a human being to be able to overcome every single thing that prohibits and keeps us from becoming what God always intended… He broke every curse, every limitation, every obstacle… He withstood every single temptation that any of us would ever go through.

ALL of this… so that 2000+ years later, we could be standing in this moment with the decision to pursue him and pursuit of his vision that he always had for our lives… I am thoroughly persuaded that if we give the pen 🖊️ back to the author and Creator of our story… that he would become the director and direct our paths, no matter how crooked we think that they are, he knows how to make our crooked path straight.

The thing is… We can see you on our stories 👀🫪👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏼 totally kidding… But really it is a great lesson about asking for help… it’s crazy to think that we are 25 days into this challenge that we committed to doing for 30 days… The beautiful thing is the middle doesn’t stop here every single Monday we will be meeting you in the middle in a long form way… Let’s get to know each other, and let’s commit to normalizing the process of getting comfortable in the uncomfortable.

I still have not been able to shake the weight of what I felt in NYC a few weeks back… I’ve listened back to this message a few times and today while listening it hit me in a fresh way specifically for creatives, artists, those who are specifically called to the area of entertainment, arts and media… I have hundreds of people that I’ve met over the years, especially in my time living in Los Angeles, who I know have incredible callings on their lives… I am fully committed to saying and sharing everything that God puts in my heart to help awaken and enlighten the eyes of our understanding so that we can walk into the fullness of what his intention and design for our lives were… It’s bigger than us, it’s bigger than our success, it’s bigger than any accolade, it’s bigger than any follower count… It’s bigger than anything any of us can earn in this life… and we don’t have to do it in our own strength, God is calling us back to himself creatives… if this resonated definitely check out the full message.

God cares more about YOU than what you can do for His Kingdom.

As creatives, it can become easy to measure our lives by what we’re building, creating, producing, or accomplishing. We can become so focused on asking God to bless the work of our hands that we overlook the work He wants to do in our hearts.

But your gift isn’t the most valuable thing about you.
God is invested in your healing. Your wholeness. Your freedom. Your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. He cares about the person carrying the calling because He knew that person long before anyone knew your name.

And maybe some of what God is doing in this season isn’t about making you more impressive. Maybe He’s healing what success would have amplified. Correcting what influence would have exposed. Freeing you from what could have followed you into the very place you’ve been praying to reach.

God doesn’t just want to develop your gift. He wants to restore the person carrying it… And the more whole you become in Him, the more freely you can carry what He’s entrusted to you.

So, creative, don’t rush the work nobody can see.
God isn’t wasting this season. He’s building you…

and one caveat for the reader… This does not imply that you stop from doing the work he has assigned you to… It is very much like Nehemiah shovel in one hand sword in another… This is a great work and you cannot come down, and part of the work is the process of healing that God is taking you through as you work.

Save this for the days when you start measuring your life by what you’re producing, and tag or send this to another creative who needs the reminder that they are more valuable to God than their gift. 🔥

Perfectionism and really the hidden pride behind it is the fear of what people think… Or the fear that what you put out there into the world will make someone think less of you.

The reality is that we are all in process… No matter where you’re at in life you are in the middle of something. Our first episode of our new show “The Middle w/ @theheadlees “ was us with one camera and two mismatched microphones using the equipment that I had available in the process of us moving into a new place while navigating multiple different projects and responsibilities… the Lord spoke to us and gave us a very clear mission to normalize process and help others get comfortable in what is uncomfortable.

The message of the middle was that as long as our lives are surrendered to God he is the alpha… Meaning the beginning and he is the Omega meaning the end… and where that puts us is right in the middle safely in his hands, trusting that he can cause everything to work together for good.

I’m entirely convinced that there is a script that was written for our lives… Make it biblical it’s the scroll 📜 that God had in mind when he predestined us… We’re not random, we are authored by the creator of the universe who has a specific plan for our lives.

He knows how to make everything work together for our good, the key to this true identity that is found in God (Col 3:3) is accessible on the other side of us giving the pen back to the author. ✍️📝

“Many are called, but few are chosen.”

I’ve been sitting with that verse and asking an honest question.

Could it be that the difference isn’t desire… but surrender?

Isaiah heard God ask, “Whom shall I send?” and didn’t negotiate. He said, “Here am I. Send me.”
Jesus said if anyone wants to follow Him, they must deny themselves and take up their cross.
Paul urges us to present our lives as living sacrifices, not halfway offerings.

Maybe many hear the call.

But only a few are willing to say yes without conditions.

Wherever You send me, I’ll go.
Whatever it costs, I’ll trust You.
Whoever You’re shaping me to be, I’ll become.

This isn’t about being perfect.
It’s about being postured.

If you’re someone who wants to go all in with Jesus, not casually, not culturally, but fully… this is your invitation to surrender deeper.
