Four months later, I’m back, and I’ve got something to say.

This year has been one of the most challenging seasons of my life internally, but I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I’m learning what it truly means to rejoice in suffering. As I’ve allowed myself to be broken before God and others, I’ve started to see myself in a deeper way… I believe it’s the way God intends for us to see ourselves… This is the process of healing, prioritizing mental health and emotional intelligence… I see things way more clearly than I ever have, my lens has been wiped and the smudges have been removed.

The journey of healing and wholeness is a messy process, but we serve a Master who turns messes into masterpieces. I’m not here to do anything flashy or promote a new product; I’m here to share all of me in hopes that it helps you explore deeper parts of yourself that maybe you’ve never touched. My prayer is that it draws you closer to God and that you hear His voice through what He’s revealed to me.

I’m overwhelmed and beyond excited to release my story, which is really God’s story still being written. I invite you to join me on this journey. Tips w/ Ty is a space to be encouraged, equipped, and empowered to walk in God’s purpose for your life.

One of the best pieces of advice I have ever received in regards to relationships is to continue to put it on the altar before God. This helps you to keep God at the forefront of every relationship that you have. (THIS APPLIES TO FRIENDS, BUSINESS, ANY RELATIONSHIP)

This is hands down one of the most critical pieces of advice that we received prior to saying “I Do”. The closer you get to Jesus the closer you will truly be to your spouse because Jesus will help you become the healthiest and most wholesome version of yourself.

Even prior to getting married or even meeting each other our pursuit was seeking first the Kingdom & then when it was time he added us to one another 💯🙏

I promise you this is the absolute truth… There is no one on the planet who can ever replicate who you are, God has uniquely created you with a specific purpose in mind and he is the director of your story… There’s a version of you that you haven’t even met yet and all of us, no matter how far we are on the journey with God are still discovering it as it unfolds daily… My encouragement to you today is own what makes you who you are!

The version of you that God always knew… And the more you surrendered to him, he will show you dimensions of yourself You didn’t even know were possible. ♥️🎙️👩🏾‍🤝‍👨🏼‼️🎬

Had to bring back the 1:1 dimensions for this because it felt like a double sided rap album with features and exclusives from the 90’s early 2000’s with the hidden album art in the sleeves 💿… creatives, artists, innovators, entrepreneurs, those who felt like their gifts and talents couldn’t be used by God… this goes out to you!

THE WHOLE TRUTH & NOTHING BUT THE TRUTH! 🎯💯

here’s the reality… We were created on purpose with a purpose, God had a brilliant idea in his mind concerning your life, there are a lot of things that are broken and distorted in the world that we live in today… I am fully convinced that the brokenness and the chaos is a byproduct of an adversary who despises the fact that God decided to create human beings in his image and likeness… but God had a plan for that, and that plans name is Jesus!!

One of the most powerful things that we can do is commit to pursuing Jesus… He lived perfectly, fully God, and fully man… He had to become a human being to be able to overcome every single thing that prohibits and keeps us from becoming what God always intended… He broke every curse, every limitation, every obstacle… He withstood every single temptation that any of us would ever go through.

ALL of this… so that 2000+ years later, we could be standing in this moment with the decision to pursue him and pursuit of his vision that he always had for our lives… I am thoroughly persuaded that if we give the pen 🖊️ back to the author and Creator of our story… that he would become the director and direct our paths, no matter how crooked we think that they are, he knows how to make our crooked path straight.

God cares more about YOU than what you can do for His Kingdom.

As creatives, it can become easy to measure our lives by what we’re building, creating, producing, or accomplishing. We can become so focused on asking God to bless the work of our hands that we overlook the work He wants to do in our hearts.

But your gift isn’t the most valuable thing about you.
God is invested in your healing. Your wholeness. Your freedom. Your spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. He cares about the person carrying the calling because He knew that person long before anyone knew your name.

And maybe some of what God is doing in this season isn’t about making you more impressive. Maybe He’s healing what success would have amplified. Correcting what influence would have exposed. Freeing you from what could have followed you into the very place you’ve been praying to reach.

God doesn’t just want to develop your gift. He wants to restore the person carrying it… And the more whole you become in Him, the more freely you can carry what He’s entrusted to you.

So, creative, don’t rush the work nobody can see.
God isn’t wasting this season. He’s building you…

and one caveat for the reader… This does not imply that you stop from doing the work he has assigned you to… It is very much like Nehemiah shovel in one hand sword in another… This is a great work and you cannot come down, and part of the work is the process of healing that God is taking you through as you work.

Save this for the days when you start measuring your life by what you’re producing, and tag or send this to another creative who needs the reminder that they are more valuable to God than their gift. 🔥

I am fully convinced that the Lord is up to something… Whenever you see shaking in the Earth in particular when industries and systems and structures that have consistently held, the power are being shaken, it is a unique opportunity for the people of God.

There’s a shaking happening across industries right now, not just entertainment.

Systems are shifting. Gatekeepers are changing. Doors are opening.

And for creatives, I believe this is a critical moment to know who you are, build on what cannot be shaken, and stay faithful to the work God has put in your hands.

I keep coming back to Nehemiah: “I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.” I FEEL THAT DEEEEEEEP IN MY SPIRIT ‼️🎯

The shaking doesn’t mean abandon the assignment. It may be revealing why you were positioned there in the first place.

There is a sound God uniquely gave you.

Your story, your creativity, your perspective, your testimony… none of it is accidental. You don’t have to sound like everyone else, or become a version of someone else to make an impact… there are people who need the truest you… it’s bigger than us 🙏🏼‼️💚

There are people who need what God placed inside of you.

Your responsibility isn’t to manufacture the reach or impact… It’s to get in alignment, obey, and release your sound.

Perfectionism and really the hidden pride behind it is the fear of what people think… Or the fear that what you put out there into the world will make someone think less of you.

The reality is that we are all in process… No matter where you’re at in life you are in the middle of something. Our first episode of our new show “The Middle w/ @theheadlees “ was us with one camera and two mismatched microphones using the equipment that I had available in the process of us moving into a new place while navigating multiple different projects and responsibilities… the Lord spoke to us and gave us a very clear mission to normalize process and help others get comfortable in what is uncomfortable.

The message of the middle was that as long as our lives are surrendered to God he is the alpha… Meaning the beginning and he is the Omega meaning the end… and where that puts us is right in the middle safely in his hands, trusting that he can cause everything to work together for good.
