I can’t believe that we have been married two years already 🥹 I’ve learned what it means to love someone when you’re scared for them. To pray for things you once took for granted and to rejoice in the goodness of what is around you. To try to be strong for the person you love while quietly trying to find strength for yourself too is something that I am so glad we are through.

I’ve learned that marriage isn’t just about choosing each other on the good days. It’s about learning how to walk through the unknown together, how to hold hope when things feel uncertain, and how to find little pockets of joy and thankfulness in seasons you wish looked different.

I wouldn’t have chosen this road for us, but I’m so grateful I get to walk it with him. And if these first two years have taught me anything, it’s that love is so much deeper than I ever understood before.

Moments from June + July that made my heart happy. 🤍

Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster these past couple weeks, so I’m especially grateful for the little moments—slow mornings, time with people I love, trying new things, little wins, new hobbies and the memories that reminded me that life it is okay to rest.

So many things I could say about you on this year of life but I’m really grateful you’re here, you’re healthy and you’re looking forward.

There aren’t that many people who could have walked what you have the past few years and it’s been an honor to stand by you through it all. Through some of the worst moments of our life to looking back now and knowing that we know; only God.

I’m looking forward to many more birthdays, many more celebrations, moments, having a family, traveling, building our business, sharing our story, praying for healings. letting go of the old and welcoming the new, friendships, memories. I’m looking forward to all of it. ♥️

The older I get, the more joy I am finding in the simple, quiet and sometimes mundane. I’m grateful that my mind has shifted from feeling the pressure and weight to stay relevant, to stay up to date with the latest trend or to even feel like I have it all together.

I’m reminded that life continues to go on, no matter the season. The days tick over, the weeks go by and what remains are memories of what you walked through and how people showed up for you.

I have been encouraged over this past week to just keep showing up for people, even when. Even when you think they have it all together, even when you think they have many people calling and texting. Even when you are so busy with work, even when you have to bring the kids with you to the park so they can play but you meet someone for a coffee. Truly I think that this is the church outside of the church. This is the way we love others and give. Just a few thoughts to share today. This song popped up in my feed by @torikelly and it was the most fitting song to recap 2 years of kidney failure, but to now having a NEW LIFE.

2 years of treatment felt unknown, but deep down I new, God was IN CONTROL.

From stepping into the unknown, to getting married in the middle of the craziness, to now having a NEW KIDNEY, God was in full control.

God literally took the weight off me, and literally put me back together.

In the middle of the storm God gave me JOY.
The people in this video truly brought both Shauna and I so much joy through the chaos.

Feeling extra grateful this weekend as we celebrate Jesus! When I look at what the Lord has done, we could never go back to how we lived before. Set free, redeemed, restored + HEALED. Love that I get to celebrate this Easter with my husband - every time I look at him, I’m reminded of God’s faithfulness, goodness and promises. 🩵

Being able to work alongside this team the past few weeks has had me in AWE that God gives beautiful gifts of creativity and the effort that goes into these environments to make sure that people experience Easter in the best way. taken in San Clemente, California by @ittshaauna
