One of my top favorite hidden gems in Williamsburg - @katabarunyc never disappoints.

1st slide: white miso salmon, soy butter mushrooms, shishito pepper, lotus root, kabocha. Made it a combo with a side of white rice, sweet potatoes, miso soup, and savory cucumbers. Absolute perfect dish… 10/10

Hotate crudo - Raw Hokkaido scallops, shiro shoyu vinaigrette, daikon sprouts, wasabi oil.

I liked the balance between the vinegar flavor and the heat of the oil. Scallops were fresh and cut at the best size.

My favorite small plate of all time here. I ALWAYS get it, no exceptions.

Deep fried soft shell crab, yuzu buerre blanc, ponzu glaze, ichimi spice. Will change your life

Kara-Age Fried Chicken - Japanese style dark meat, lemon slice, homemade spicy mayo. Comforting, familiar, delicious

THEIR DON CLASSIC! Katsu Don - panko breaded pork cutlet, onions, scallions and soft cooked cage-free eggs* - simmered in a rich soy sauce broth, served over rice. Best Katsu Don around these parts, guaranteed. taken in East Williamsburg, Brooklyn by @iveylution

@khaosan_nyc is one of, if not my top favorite Thai restaurants in Brooklyn. Such a gem of a place, from ingredients, atmosphere, service, presentation, tastes, and textures. I am in love! 😍

Thai iced tea and lychee purple lemonade 💦

Green papaya salad - so refreshing with a mix of citrus and sweetness ☀️

Sriracha wings - crispy skin and full bodied flavor all around, the glaze was top notch 🔥

KAENG PHED PED YANG - Roasted duck breast in red curry paste with coconut milk, baby eggplant, mushrooms, pineapple, and other seasonal veggies - side of blue sticky rice - immaculate balance of heat and creaminess, veggies had a nice chew in between crunch and soft. This dish was phenomenal! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Garlic Udon Hanger Beef - extremely rich in flavor, noodles were bouncy, and texture was all around perfect - also had bokchoy and onions 🤤

Recently visited @inkaico.peruvian.kitchen and was blown away! Presentation and taste did not disappoint. One of my new fav spots in Park Slope!

1. Ceviche Cantolao: fresh tuna, creamy avocado, capers, daikon, ikura w an ahi amarillo leche de tigre 🐯 (left) bold and refreshing

- Causa: ají amarillo potato! (Top noodle looking thing on right dish) tuna tartare, avocado, yuzu tobiko, and ikura caviar - the right hint of citrus and savory

2. Arroz con pollo: chicken breast on green rice w/ papa a la Huancaina (creamy Peruvian potato), lots of spices and herbs. Fulfilling and satisfying!

Drinks: I had a Peruvian vesper: pisco, Bombay sapphire, lillet blanc, and orange bitters 🍸

Overall this place blew my mind, the layers were so intricately thought out, ingredients were fresh, presentation was art, taste was 10/10 and the drinks kicked ass!
