One of my top favorite hidden gems in Williamsburg - @katabarunyc never disappoints.

1st slide: white miso salmon, soy butter mushrooms, shishito pepper, lotus root, kabocha. Made it a combo with a side of white rice, sweet potatoes, miso soup, and savory cucumbers. Absolute perfect dish… 10/10

Hotate crudo - Raw Hokkaido scallops, shiro shoyu vinaigrette, daikon sprouts, wasabi oil.

I liked the balance between the vinegar flavor and the heat of the oil. Scallops were fresh and cut at the best size.

My favorite small plate of all time here. I ALWAYS get it, no exceptions.

Deep fried soft shell crab, yuzu buerre blanc, ponzu glaze, ichimi spice. Will change your life

Kara-Age Fried Chicken - Japanese style dark meat, lemon slice, homemade spicy mayo. Comforting, familiar, delicious

THEIR DON CLASSIC! Katsu Don - panko breaded pork cutlet, onions, scallions and soft cooked cage-free eggs* - simmered in a rich soy sauce broth, served over rice. Best Katsu Don around these parts, guaranteed.

@khaosan_nyc is one of, if not my top favorite Thai restaurants in Brooklyn. Such a gem of a place, from ingredients, atmosphere, service, presentation, tastes, and textures. I am in love! 😍

Thai iced tea and lychee purple lemonade 💦

Green papaya salad - so refreshing with a mix of citrus and sweetness ☀️

Sriracha wings - crispy skin and full bodied flavor all around, the glaze was top notch 🔥

Money shot

KAENG PHED PED YANG - Roasted duck breast in red curry paste with coconut milk, baby eggplant, mushrooms, pineapple, and other seasonal veggies - side of blue sticky rice - immaculate balance of heat and creaminess, veggies had a nice chew in between crunch and soft. This dish was phenomenal! ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️ ⭐️

Garlic Udon Hanger Beef - extremely rich in flavor, noodles were bouncy, and texture was all around perfect - also had bokchoy and onions 🤤

Ambience was beautiful

Mitziveyous adventure ep.2 - @chickrocksus foodie date. This place legit “ROCKED” my tastebuds.. from all the vibrant flavors, to the crunch in every bite, and the refreshing drink selections. I highly recommend this Asian American fusion fried chicken. Fast casual dining experience that exceeded expectations. 10/10 👅 will be returning! What do you want to try from our video??

Today I want to highlight @goodoldaysdiner for absolutely exceeding all of my expectations. From the cheesy smoked Gouda grits, to the perfectly soft biscuits, and their flavorful crispy breaded chicken.

This place deserves all of its flowers! Exceptional dishes, attentive service, and overall a nostalgic experience. Taking traditional dishes and elevating them with a modern twist. Has got to be my favorite diner in Brooklyn.

Came in on a Sunday, pictured above is “the bird is the word” which came with a Belgian waffle and a chili maple glaze (chicken was the star of the whole meal)

We also had a side of smoked Gouda grits and the biscuits and gravy. I have been searching for a phenomenal biscuits and gravy experience and finally had one here in NYC! The biscuits were sweet, fluffy, soft, and so tasty. While the gravy was nicely cooked with the perfect texture between creamy and savory.

Their lemonade and sweet tea are also refreshing. Everything was a 10/10. I will be returning ASAP! What should I try next??

This little hole in the wall took me by surprise! Went down to @gigicurryandnoodlebar to try out their “GiGi curry” and was greeted with the most delicious concoction of flavors.

I got my dish with the bouncy udon noodles and the chicken satay. Topped with pickled mustard greens, red onion, shallots and some lightly fried onions - which cut through that super creamy sauce with a perfect tang. I legit wanted to drink the sauce out of the bowl… 🥣 (don’t worry, I didn’t lol)

I ordered using their kiosk at the entrance which included some free edamame and ended with the coconut custards for dessert.

Everything was very tasty and layered to a perfect balance. They also have some yummy drinks I want to try next time like their coconut mango smoothie and their cloud matchas ☁️

Highly recommend if you’re in the area, it’s a small space but huge flavor profiles. 10/10

From brunch favorites to dinner delicacies, @monarchizakaya_bk 🫶🏼

1. Hanger steak bento box with kabocha squash, salad, turnip pickles, and takikomi-gohan rice - essentials

2. MY FAV BRUNCH DISH SO FAR! Okonomiyaki (star of the show)

3. “Rabbit hole” eggs Benedict: poached eggs on Szechuan spiced bacon, buttermilk biscuits, hollandaise sauce, roasted taters, and a mesclun salad

4. Iced black sesame latte (left) & Japanese breakfast julep: bourbon, ships-yuzu cordial, 🍍 liqueur, mint, splash of soda

5. Raspberry scone, SO SOFT AND MOIST! (Came with my bento box)

Dinner 🍽️

6. Forgot the noodle dish but my dinner star of the show, was the Cod in 🥥 🍋‍🟩 broth! (Bottom) Cod, shrimp, basil, enoki mushies, and crispy rice vermicelli. Outstanding dish full of texture, comfort, warmth, creamy yet citrusy and sweet with a hint of spice. My fav dinner plate.

7. A yummy type of tuna tataki

This place is soooo lovely decorated and each level of the establishment feels like you’re in a quirky world in Japan. Lots of colors, cultured images, and nostalgic pieces from top to bottom. Must check them out!

Recently visited @inkaico.peruvian.kitchen and was blown away! Presentation and taste did not disappoint. One of my new fav spots in Park Slope!

1. Ceviche Cantolao: fresh tuna, creamy avocado, capers, daikon, ikura w an ahi amarillo leche de tigre 🐯 (left) bold and refreshing

- Causa: ají amarillo potato! (Top noodle looking thing on right dish) tuna tartare, avocado, yuzu tobiko, and ikura caviar - the right hint of citrus and savory

2. Arroz con pollo: chicken breast on green rice w/ papa a la Huancaina (creamy Peruvian potato), lots of spices and herbs. Fulfilling and satisfying!

Drinks: I had a Peruvian vesper: pisco, Bombay sapphire, lillet blanc, and orange bitters 🍸

Overall this place blew my mind, the layers were so intricately thought out, ingredients were fresh, presentation was art, taste was 10/10 and the drinks kicked ass!

I will be returning to try more yummy food 🙏🏼
