Liminal Lucid, presented by A Space Gallery, is a solo exhibition by Yichen Ji examining how perception transforms as natural phenomena are translated into computational form.

In this exhibition, water and light shift from physical reference points to fully digital constructions, reflecting how contemporary experience is shaped as much by simulation as by direct sensory contact. Rather than framing the digital as the opposite of reality, the works approach it as a cognitive space—where vision is modeled, processed, and reorganized. As images detach from material origins and function increasingly as data structures, perception itself becomes fluid and unstable. Here, “lucidity” signals an awareness that what appears immediate may already be layered through abstraction.

A Space Virtual Gallery — Now Live

Step inside our new virtual space.

Built as an extension of A Space Gallery, this digital environment is not a replica of a physical room—it’s a space designed for scale shifts, fluid light, and spatial instability. Here, works exist without weight or fixed perspective. Architecture bends. Light recalibrates. Perception adjusts as you move.

Now on view: Liminal Lucid, a solo exhibition by Yichen Ji, exploring how natural phenomena transition into computational form and how perception reshapes within digital space.

This recording offers a glimpse into the experience.

Explore. Pause. Rotate. Drift.

The gallery is open.
