Home is where it all started.

Today my brothers of the Alpha Sigma Chapter and I surprised the students at East Iberville Elementary & High School at their pep rally. Walking back into these halls as a Kappa man, with my chapter beside me, is something I won’t forget. To every student here: where you come from doesn’t limit where you can go. Keep pushing. We’re proud of you.

Shoutout to my brother@10kcaptured for pulling up and capturing the moment. Appreciate you!

Tomorrow is the LAST day to register to vote online in Louisiana. Don’t wait!

Today on the Bluff, we registered 70+ Southern students to vote, and we’re just getting started.

📅 Save the date: October 27th, Second Line to the Polls. We’re marching from campus to early voting with the Human Jukebox and a brass band leading the way.

Louisiana, your voice matters. Get registered. Get involved. Make it count.

🔗 Register at voterportal.sos.la.gov

Don’t wait for a seat at the table.
Prepare for the one that’s waiting for you.

On September 19th, I had the honor of serving as a featured panelist for the Collegiate 100 of Howard University’s Pathways: Business, Government, & Beyond forum during CBCF 50th Anniversary Week. For the first time in my life, I shared the stage with a sitting Congressman, Congressman Glenn Ivey, a fellow Kappa man whose career shows what service in government looks like.

We talked about voter engagement, the current state of politics, and practical ways undergraduates can get involved in civic life right now. Young people have more power than we’re told, and our voices shape policy when we show up, stay informed, and hold leaders accountable.

I’m grateful to @collegiate100hu for trusting me with that platform, to everyone who filled the Blackburn Center, and to every student who stayed after with questions. From Saint Gabriel to Southern to Howard’s stage, I don’t take a moment of this lightly.

My message to the room was simple: be the solution to the problems you see in the world.

A Southern man walking into the Mecca.

Two HBCUs, same mission: build people who can go anywhere and still know where they came from. That’s why this one means something to me.

Honored to serve as a featured panelist for the Collegiate 100 of Howard University’s 2026 Community Forum: “Pathways: Business, Government & Beyond” during CBCF’s 50th Anniversary Week.

Louisiana erased a congressional district in four weeks and the Supreme Court never told it to.

In April, the Court ruled in Louisiana v. Callais that the Voting Rights Act didn’t require a second Black-majority district. The next day the governor suspended the state’s congressional primaries, after 42,000 people had already voted. Four weeks later the map was redrawn on party-line votes and signed the same day it passed.

One seat out of six, in a state where one in three people is Black.

Permission isn’t a command. The Court set the limit, the legislature made the choice.

Full breakdown on Medium. Link in bio.
