@jakey.caz doesn’t just believe in building physical strength, he believes in using it to create a safer, more inclusive world. A fierce advocate for equality, inclusion, and emotional honesty, he challenges the outdated idea that masculinity is one-size-fits-all, proving there’s far more to being a man than traditional stereotypes.

This year, Jake is leading the charge with SPRINT FOR CHANGE, a high-energy event on August 23 at select BFT studios, raising funds and awareness to help end violence against women and children. It’s not too late to be part of it, either join a participating BFT studio or talk to your local one about getting involved. Every step you take is a step towards change.

Introducing LSKD Camberwell store athlete @jakey.caz 😤  Q: What’s your story? Tell us where you’re from and what you’re passionate about.
A country boy at heart, I’ve spent the majority of my time in Melbourne since I was 18. I’ve always valued being part of a team and a community and in the last 6 years with BFT I’ve been lucky enough to live this passion building communities for people to belong. My mission is to create spaces where everyone feels safe and comfortable to be their authentic self and achieve their best.

Q: What’s your favourite way to move, and why?
I love resistance training. It’s always my go to. There are just so many health benefits to being strong and capable and I love future proofing my body. Of course, my favourite environment for this is with a group. Getting strong and connecting with others, what’s better?

Q: What does being 1% better every day mean to you?
1% better every day is the small, consistent actions that you can do to show continual improvement. It’s not about huge efforts, unsustainable challenges or boom bust training. It’s considered, consistent and little wins that all add up over time.
