POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

You may already know that @itsjimjamal is on the lineup, but here’s why you don’t want to miss his set at Listen Out.

Jim brings an uplifting, high‑energy sound shaped by Essex rave roots, nine years in Brazil and a deep love of house, jungle and dance. His sets aren’t just about beats, they’re about connection, movement and that feeling when the whole room locks in together.

If you were around for @jamsjam_e17 in Walthamstow, you’ll remember the community he helped build. That same spirit is coming with him to Listen Out as he helps raise awareness for mental health through the power of music.

And beyond the decks? He’s a filmmaker, a community organiser and a creative force who pours purpose into everything he does.

Want a preview of the vibe he’s bringing? 🔊 soundcloud.com/djjimjamal

Tickets are still available at listenout.org (link in bio). Join us on 10th September at @bigpennysocial come dance, connect and be part of something meaningful.

OLD. SKOOL. FRIENDS. LITERALLY.

Amazing scenes at @jamsjam_e17 @realal.co last Saturday seeing our old school friend @gene.genie who we all loved to bits.

These are the moments mates reconnected after more than twenty years.

Seeing these boys back together I had to play Sounds of Eden @shades_of_rhythm a track we loved raving to from that time. It was a moment 🥹🙏🏽

And that’s what it’s all about. Having a space we can all come together and have a dance.

A veteran in all forms of underground dance music @originaldjdlux first notable achievement was joining #BrainRecords in 1991 where he pioneered early #Jungle music alongside the likes of @thebizzybscience @djhype_playaz and @djzinc

Securing his reputation as a talented producer in the 90’s #UKGarage scene he became one of the original @rinse.fm residents before joining the legendary @dejavufm which he runs to this day.

As well as DJing he dedicates large amounts of time to local communities - setting up youth music projects across #London and #Essex as development director of the charity @youngurbanarts and more recently founded @creativeengagementservices which runs youth hubs and workshops at Wood Street library and beyond - filling an important gap for the youth of today!

We’re honoured to have him play this Saturday 19th at @jamsjam_e17 @realal.co for an afternoon set at 1730 and closing the night from 2230 so come check out a genunine #turntablist at work and hang out with a local legend 🙏🏽✨🔉 by @jamsjam_e17

@dj_0_ra and her son Mr.Silly make an empowering double act - 0RA on the decks channeling musical influences starting from her days as a dancer at the #Hacienda and her son who is visually impaired and neuro divergent accompanying on a djembe drum.

They have an unbreakable and inspiring bond through music - first catching the attention of crowds at this years @eatorheat @byrdout festival in #walthamstow

Experience their Afro infused dance music from 8pm next Saturday 7th at @realal_e17 @ravenswoodcollective 🔥🙏🏽 by @jamsjam_e17
