Culinaria is here! With much gratitude to @rcolesworthy at SUNY for her invaluable support and @professor.s.y.evans and @janakab as my fabulous and kind coeditors! to @buildinghouses9 and @abarcameredith for their brilliant forward and afterwards, and to @jigna.desai.10 and @drwillazhen for their generous blurbs. Thank you to my hometown and the best museum in the CSRA and beyond @lucycraftlaneymuseum for building and being institutional foundations, from education and literacy to healthcare to community and spiritual spaces and histories, as well as home base for the Augusta African American Historical Society. In this time of reduction, cuts, and erasure, they need our support more now than ever! Bring folks, book tours, donate, and of course see the AAAHS markers down and around Laney-Walker Blvd., with the next two on the way! Thank you especially to Dr. @alexispauline for giving time and sharing Primary in community and to @theblackscholar for rich questions and discussion—my Mellon (MMUF) family always shows up and shows out in the best ways, as well @lakhiyia for bringing @homeplxce hospitality on the road! And of course my parents, both at and outside of home, for setting the tables that inspired this work 💜 by @janakab

Loving all of the opportunities education + career development provide when we are intentional in creating pathways! by @janakab

Such an incredibly dope day full of intersectional pedagogy, awesome students and community, great food and art, and textile, music and food discussion. Except for a slight distraction in the downtown area, it was a perfect day! Thanks @farha_bt , Le Moyne College and Syracuse U students and faculty, @norrelledwards for an awesome hangout and @brewerharrisprojects @blk_citizensbrigade for being incredible community and arts based spaces! Looking forward to welcoming Janaka Lewis, Sucharita Kanjilal and Patricia Clark for our book launch tomorrow. Grateful to Professor Taryn Jordan for moderating. This volume was a true project of feminist community and collaboration. We're grateful to Stephanie Y. Evan's mentorship, and for Psyche Williams-Forson, Alice Julier and Meredith Abarca's foundational works. Will be posting a full table of contents soon! Our most junior scholars including Mónica Ocasio Vega on Puerto Rican foodways, to Armani Stewart, Hanna Garth, Paolina Lu and Aya Basho on Palestine are the future of critical feminist food studies! by @janakab
