The worst coffee tasting you’ll actually learn something from.

8 defects. 8 terrible cups. One very useful sensory memory.
Bad coffee. Intentionally.

We’re putting 8 coffee defects on the table: rancid, potato, acrid, rubbery, medicinal, over-fermented, mouldy and rioy - so you can smell them, taste them and learn what wrong actually tastes like.

Will it be delicious? Absolutely not. Will your palate remember it? Oh yes.

Come taste the bad stuff - on purpose.

Tasting Notes: 🔴 RASPBERRY · 🍒 DARK CHERRY· 🍫 ChOCOLATE PRALINE

WHAT WE’RE TASTING: Fruity, clean and beautifully layered. Fresh raspberry and ripe dark cherry lead the cup, followed by rich chocolate praline notes that bring balance and sweetness. As the coffee cools, lingering notes of blackcurrant jelly develop in the finish, adding another layer of complexity to an elegant, vibrant cup. by @javaroastersca

Even though it’s summer, we’re not slowing down. This is one of our busiest times of the year - just in a different way.

We’re selecting new coffees, planning special events, working on collaborations, designing new labels, and getting everything ready for the fall and winter season.

🍹 Tropical Fruit Punch · 🍬 Hard Candy · 🫖 Black Tea

WHAT WE’RE TASTING___🥄👅☕️

Think tropical fruit punch, with layers of pineapple, papaya, and passion fruit in every sip. As the coffee cools, the sweetness develops into notes of hard candy, while a lively acidity reminiscent of overripe fruit keeps the cup interesting. It finishes clean with elegant black tea notes that bring balance and structure.

We’re excited to welcome this new lot from Ethiopia’s Uraga region to the lineup. It’s produced by more than 240 smallholder farmers, most farming less than two hectares, and showcases the locally grown 74110 and 74112 varieties that have become known for producing beautifully expressive coffees.

It’s the kind of coffee we love sharing with you - full of character, thoughtfully produced, and a reminder of why exploring new origins never gets old.
