What a day. What a month. This team brought New York and all Knicks fans so much joy. I think of one word to define this team — relentless.

Jalen Brunson is the fiercest leader and competitor that I’ve ever seen on a field or a court. He is the King of New York. The math just doesn’t work. It just doesn’t add up to make this legend. That’s why sports is art and he is one of the greatest artists.

Blessed to have witnessed firsthand their ferocious comeback in Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Finals. Blessed to have witnessed each victory with family and friends.

There was so much unfiltered joy in the streets today. It was a collective catharsis. A City and fanbase that has endured so many challenges these past 25 years since 9/11 finally got to breathe collectively. Go Knicks! by @jdelrey

One of the first people I told outside of my family and colleagues that I was launching @readtheaisle was Krystina Gustafson, co-founder and co-CEO of @retailclubevents.

I followed Krystina way back in her CNBC days and continued to when she led content at Shoptalk. But the main reason I wanted to give her a heads up last fall was that I saw a lot of alignment and potential collaboration opportunities between my media company and her new AI retail event franchise.

So I'm thrilled that we'll be partnering on the RetailClub AI Festival in Huntington Beach this September, where I'll be moderating onstage, interviewing executives offstage, and hosting an intimate salon dinner for retail leaders (sponsors, let's talk).

It was fun to catch up with Krystina in this interview, where I explain why this was the right time for me to take the entrepreneurial leap... and a lot more that'll show up in future clips. by @jdelrey

Four months ago I left a job I loved to start something from scratch: The Aisle.

Some days have been exhilarating. Others have been mentally and physically exhausting. That is the reality of truly betting on yourself. But I have never been more convinced this was the right move.

What has meant the most so far is seeing so many smart people across retail, e-commerce, AI, and venture support independent, original journalism at a moment when this industry is changing faster than most of us can process.

Many of you have told me you value having one place to find real signal amid the noise. That feedback keeps me going.

Grateful for everyone who has joined me on this ride so far. If you care about how AI is changing the way the world buys and sells, I would love for you to be part of The Aisle community.
