I don’t really post photos of myself here. Definitely not ones like this.

But on 17 October I’m doing @battle.cancer London with the @strength_and_mindset_studio team, raising money for @macmillancancer .

I turned 40 last December. For the last year and a half, training at Strength and Mindset has become one of the most important things in my week. Partly for a hard reason: losing Mum as early as I did means I want to be around for as long as I can. For my family, and because I still believe there’s a lot to live for on this wild, often confusing, beautiful planet.

And partly because, to my surprise, I love it. Lifting heavy things. Working hard. Finding out what this big lump of a body can actually do. Doing it alongside people and coaches who keep me turning up.

It’ll be fun and it’ll be hard. I’d do it anyway. But if this nudges you to find a few spare coins for Macmillan, that’s all the better. Link is in my bio. by @jellerby
