A lil’ story cuz some of you are new here! 👋 Hi, I’m Jen. And I have started more food ventures than most people probably realise 😂 and a lot of them have failed, MISERABLY. And behind the scenes, general life after c0vid wasn’t exactly great either.. I remember my car being repossessed when I got home from work one day. I literally could barely afford my house hold bills most months. But I just never stopped trying to make my food business work. I knew streetfood was what I wanted to do. And although all odds felt stacked against me and I was drowning in debt, I had faith, and every time something failed, I picked myself back up and tried something different. I think sometimes we’re so scared of failing (and looking stupid btw) that we don’t realise failure is literally how you get there. I can’t count how many times I got shit wrong. You really don’t need to have it all planned out guys. You just need to keep picking the baton back up and running. This is your reminder to do the thing that’s scary AND to embrace looking dumb af because at the end of the day everyone is so consumed by their own lives. Just do the thing, I promise you your future self will thank you for it ❤️ by @jenniferachaney

Smashed Big Mac Tacos 🌮 🤩 We've had these twice this week now and I'm all for them because they are so friggin easy and also a winner with the kiddos... 15 mins, done. And also, who doesn't love a big mac? Each taco comes in around 360cals and two of these fill me up for ages whilst I still hit almost half my daily protein in one sitting 🔥💪 Recipe below: Makes 4 tacos: 400g 5% Minced beef 4 Light Red leicester slices 4 Small white tortillas 1 Romaine lettuce Big Mac Sauce: 2 Tbsp Mayo 1 Tbsp Ketchup 1 Tbsp Diced pickles 1 Tbsp Pickle juice 1 Tsp Mustard 1 Tsp Smoked Paprika 1 Tsp Garlic Powder Salt & Pepper Method: • Mix together in a bowl your big mac sauce ingredients and set aside. Heat up a frying pan with a few sprays of olive oil on medium heat. • Chop up your Romaine lettuce in a mixing bowl and add 1 tbsp of your sauce to wet it. • Roll up 4 balls of the minced beef (100g each) and smashed them onto the tortilla using your fingers. Season with salt and pepper and fry them face down in the pan for 3-4 minutes or until the beef is cooked. • Flip the tortilla and place the cheese on top of the beef, cover with a lid for a few minutes to help the cheese melt and for the tortilla to go crispy. • Once the cheese has melted and the bottom of the tortilla has crispened up, remove from the pan and fill with a spoonful of your big mac sauce, and a portion of lettuce and close it up to make your taco! Apple Crumble Muffins 🍎🤎 Because I had a few apples that needed using up and apparently I was craving both crumble and muffins that day.. These are SO good. Really soft and fluffy, little chunks of apple throughout, plenty of cinnamon and a buttery crumble topping that goes all golden and crunchy in the oven. And then smothered in hot custard 🫠 Best eaten slightly warm with a cup of tea. Although I made a batch thinking they’d last us a few days and that was wildly optimistic.. Recipe will be on my Substack next week! 🍂 by @jenniferachaney
Filipino Chicken BBQ 🇵🇭🔥 What a CLASSIC. One of my favourite ways to cook chicken thigh.. especially over open fire on the @kadai.uk . You CANNOT beat the flavour this fire pit gives.. Sticky, sweet, savoury, slightly charred and paaaaacked with flavs. This is defo an old time obsession of mine growing up. Recipe on my Substack this weekend ✨ or comment ‘bbq’ and I’ll send you the link to all my recipes! #Ad by @jenniferachaney
Just make it exist first. You can make it good later. Something I wish I’d learnt a lot sooner.. Post the terrible video. Start the business. Write the first page. Make the thing you’ve been putting off because you’re convinced it’s not quite good enough yet. You can improve something that exists. You can’t improve something you’ve spent six months overthinking. A little reminder for anyone waiting until they’re ready 🤍 And if growing your recipe page is something you’ve been putting off, comment METHOD and I’ll show you how to get started with the recipe method ✨ Today is the LAST day to get it at the launch price! 🫶 by @jenniferachaney
Beef bourguignon, but soup 🍂🥩 All the rich, deep flavours of a classic beef bourguignon, but a little more brothy and made with slow-braised ox cheek that literally falls apart. Insane flavour for something you can pretty much chuck in a pan and leave for a few hours.. Made this during our stay with @unyoked.co in Dalby Forest, Yorkshire. The forest is HUGE, with endless places to explore, but our gorgeous cabin was beautifully secluded and completely private! We always love coming to an Unyoked cabin during our anniversary ❤️ these cabins will always have a special place in our hearts.. Recipe will be on my Substack this weekend ✨ or comment ‘Soup’ and I’ll send you a link to all of my recipes! #Ad by @jenniferachaney
Lazy One-pan Wontons 🥟 The kind of dumplings we make at home if we’re feeling a bit lazy.. folding any dumpling isn’t a quick process so wrapping them up in little parcels and throwing them straight into the pan like this saves so much time and taste just as delish 🔥 Pork mince with all the aromatics, and then topped with a spicy peanut chilli oil. Recipe will be on Substack this weekend! Comment ‘dumpling’ and I’ll send you the link to subscribe to all my recipes 👩🏻‍🍳 by @jenniferachaney
THAI TOM KHA GAI 🇹🇭🌶️ I fear I’ll never cook Thai food on the hob again… this creamy chicken soup cooked over open fire on the Kadai is just wow. The smokiness it adds to this fragrant coconut soup is absolutely insane and it massively elevates those Thai flavours. What is it about cooking food over an open flame that just takes every dish to another level. OBSESSED with my @kadai.uk hanging bowl if you can’t already tell 🫣🔥 Comment RECIPE and I’ll send you the link to all my recipes! This one will be landing on my Substack this weekend 👩🏻‍🍳 #ad by @jenniferachaney

This crispy salmon rice hack is LIFE 🍣 I’m obsessed with salmon atm especially when it’s diced and mixed with kewpie and sriracha. It’s *chef’s kiss* and on that crispy rice cooked in my trusty @philipshomelivinguk air fryer 🔥 who’s tried nigiri this way yet? 👇 by @jenniferachaney
