It’s time to stop shrinking when it comes to our dreams.The women who inspire me most didn’t get where they are by staying quiet or sitting on what dream was placed on their hearts. Sharing milestones or celebrating wins in my business isn’t about boasting in myself. It’s about boasting in the Lord and what He’s done on the other side of obedience.The beautiful thing about obedience is that it doesn’t just open doors you never imagined possible. It also gives someone else permission to believe that maybe God could do it for them, too.So dream loudly, someone needs to see it. For me, it’s for the mom watching quietly, it’s the woman who’s contemplating starting something, it’s the younger generation seeing someone who isn’t a celebrity.. going for it. It’s the little girl who was in my womb here, who’s now at our photo shoots. I’m just an ordinary person, encouraging you to live an extraordinary life and chase your dreams. 🫂 by @jessrodrigz

We often see brands once they’ve “made it,” but rarely the season before that. Here’s a glimpse into what building SOTE from the ground up has looked like. Swipe for more 🥹 * not the typo on the first slide, I’m not redoing it!! The garage to our new home has become our official warehouse, and somehow it’s also where I get to hold my newborn or hear my son play with toys between photo shoots, inventory, emails, and launch prep. Building SOTE and building our family have happened side by side.The second bedroom of our apartment wasn’t a guest room or a nursery. It was our office, inventory room, packing station, and fulfillment center. Every launch started here. Small and humble beginnings (don’t despise them or working at your kitchen table) 🫂“What do you even do all day?”Most days aren’t photoshoots or launches. They’re inventory counts, receiving shipments, organizing stock, fixing mistakes (aka putting out fires), answering emails, responding to or preparing the team, and preparing for what’s next. When you’re building from scratch, you wear every hat until you can hand one off.Years ago, senior year of high school, my mom paid for my application to FIDM because she believed in me. I got accepted, but we couldn’t afford tuition, so I never got to attend. Years later, she stood at our shoot watching SOTE come to life. She didn’t just get to see a photoshoot. She got to see the dream she believed in all those years ago become reality. A full circle moment (her with her proud little Polaroid camera 🥹)Before departments and big teams, it starts with you. Then it’s the people who believe in your vision early. Our small team has helped carry this dream before we started to significantly grow, and continues to.Product development doesn’t always happen during business hours. Some of my biggest design decisions happen in the middle of the night because that’s when our manufacturers are awake. It’s also when my babies are asleep LOLEvery rack represents months of sketching, sampling, fit revisions, fabric sourcing, vision casting, and countless decisions before a collection ever goes live. who moves on a holiday weekend? we did, into our miracle perfect rental home!!! 🏠🇺🇸🤍🌳🥹truly only a story that God could write, every detail was hand-picked for us and we were hand-picked for this house, been spending time making it a home! from a little under 500 sq ft studio first married to a home with two children, TYJ!@koalaeco at every sink, and all their cleaning products under the kitchen sink, of course! 🐨🧼🫧 + that sunset light !!!!The second I opened this door at our tour, I immediately thought of this Pinterest save 🚪🤍Running outside to play football with dad! We are so thankful we have a space to get fresh air and energy out 🏈This is an extra special space 🤭Watering the grass, plants, and flowers 🥹Play room hangs with my babies 🫂happy moving weekend + 250 America ❤️🤍💙 by @jessrodrigz

Slowly but surely, I’m getting my pink back! If you’re unfamiliar… The saying is inspired by flamingos. When flamingos have + raise their chicks, they pour so much energy and nutrients into their offspring that their feathers can lose their vibrant color and turn gray or faded. Over time, with rest and nourishment, their pink color returns. As moms, I don’t think the pink magically returns, I think it takes intentional steps and ways to make space for ourselves to feel good (and like ourselves) again. Some thoughts I’ve been jotting down and thinking over, there’s a lot more depth to each of these thoughts but the over arching theme is honestly: a slower life. Slow down to embrace physical healing, slow down to enjoy my people, create slow in my business, slow down in thinking you’re out of time, and slow down to embrace that there’s literally no one that is you, and that’s beautiful 🫂 by @jessrodrigz

From the final days to post-partum, my husband’s been my strength and number one support. Hospital rooms full? Hotel booked. Craving something while you’re contracting? Let’s go get it. Birth plan? I’ll make sure everyone knows it. Feel like giving up? You got this. Fuel for breast feeding? No problem. Body is recovering? I got you.
