Weekends are NEVER dull with this beauty.
I cannot believe how much we have done in less than 3 months....Church together, Cancun, paddleboarding multiple times,, 4 live sporting events, dozens of workouts, pickleball, disc golf, incredible hikes, family trips, incredible food, amazing deserts and endless belly laughs.
Why would this weekend be any different! The Last Bookstore, Santee Alley, Grand Central Market, the Flower District, great workout, my favorite tacos in all of LA, new desserts, watch both of our teams lose 😭🤦🏽‍♂️, and a little relaxation.

What a hidden little gem. On the 4th of July, after we finished paddleboarding at Canyon Lake in AZ, Mia and I stopped off at the amazing little Ghost Town, @goldfieldghosttown. It is right on the main road you have to take to get to Canyon Lake and it is so cool!
We were able to get a bag of dirt to sift thru and found some awesome rocks, amethyst, quartz, and arrowheads.
This little Ghost Town was such a cool experience. If you have been out to Canyon Lake in AZ, you have passed it. I definitely recommend you stop by next time and check it out.

I'm hooked...... 2 great days of paddleboarding! Saturday at the Salt River and Sunday at Lake Pleasant.
It has been so cool making new friends that love paddleboarding. This is probably my favorite new hobby since moving to AZ.
If you love the outdoors, let's go. I never want to be a 1 trick pony! Saturday morning I was playing pickleball at 8am, in the gym at noon, on the Salt River at 5. God has blessed us with such a beautiful place to live, not taking advantage of it is a crime.
Next weekend could be a hike, pickleball, definitely paddleboarding, maybe Horseshoe bend, maybe Grand Canyon, maybe Sedona..... 🤷🏽‍♂️ Bring on all the adventures.

Summer is here and it is gonna be time to hit Salt River and the lakes for as much paddleboarding as possible.

Paddling next to the wild horses is very surreal, incredible experience. Everyday in Arizona makes me more grateful that I no longer in Cali. Cali is great but we don't know what we don't know..... I didn't know how amazing it is to live in Arizona until I made the move.

Just ordered a new paddleboard and am excited to break it in this week.

Late post but 🤷🏽‍♂️. I put 2 US cities on my "to visit" list this year. Chicago and Philadelphia, I had never been to either.

I am blessed to have a great job that allowed me to check one of those off the list.

Philadelphia was amazing. The people, the food, the architecture, and culture. I was not able to see/experience a ton, but what I did, I loved!!

Of course I had to run the stairs up to the Rocky statue, it was much shorter than I thought. I imagined the stair run to be much longer but it was quick. Also, there were actually 2 Rocky statues 1 at the bottom and the famous one at top. They were exactly the same and I'm guessing the one at the bottom was for individuals that physically aren't able to walk the steps, allowing them to still be able to see the statue?

I went in very excited to eat as many Philly cheesesteaks as possible and definitely did that, but, I was so surprised at how good the pizza was as well ❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥❤️‍🔥

God is Great 🙌🙏

Randomly found this unexpected surprise on my recent trip to Sedona. It's called "Raven's Cave" and if it weren't for some fellow hikers, I would have never known it existed.

It is near Bell Rock, on the other side of the highway. It is one of those pulloffs that say "Scenic View Ahead" but I never pulled over because there is only about 7 parking spots and it was always full. It just so happened that there was a open spot as I drove by so I pulled over.

At first I thought it was just a cool bluff overlooking a river below, it was nice but nothing special. But, then a couple walked past me and asked if I had seen the cave. I had no idea what they were talking about so they gave me some basic directions and I found my way to this.

Such a beautiful view with a long drop off the edge. It got my nerves going a little but it was worth it.

Me lately: "God, can you please send me a sign if you want me to go in this direction..."

Also me: " Could you please make it blatantly obvious by having a green elephant walk into my living room with a purple monkey playing a banjo on its back and a yellow bunny with 2 tails on its head so I know it's your sign..."

Lol can anyone relate? About to hit 7 years sober and coming up on 50.... Going thru some fun life changes and excited about it.

I bought this house a little over a year ago. Have renters moving in very soon and working on buying my 2nd. God is great and I have so much to be grateful for!!🙏💙

I definitely have not been on social much the last 2 years. I recovered from a torn Achilles, torn minescus, and torn tendon in my forearm. Pretty much all from playing pickleball 🤣🤷🏽‍♂️🤦🏽‍♂️Join me on the court if you are in the Phoenix area or when I go back to LA.

Headed out to interview for a clinical internship. I finished all my classes at UCLA to become a certified Drug & Alcohol Counselor, now I just need to get these clinical hours.
In high school I was a 2.7 gpa student, while at UCLA I got a 4.0🙌🙏. At the age of 48. God is Great.
It's never to late to do/start something, the time is going to go by anyway.
Coming up on 6 years of sobriety, 2/19/2019, I just bought a house/moved to AZ & I'm finishing a 2 year program at UCLA while working full-time in Healthcare. In 2016 I had been homeless in the streets of LA for 18 months. If that's not proof that God is Great and that We Do Recover, then I don't know what is.
