Did you really go to Oregon if you didn’t hike to a waterfall?

July 5, 2026 marked 3 whole years alcohol free.

I still struggle. I still get triggered. But I know that I need to allow myself to be present and flow through every obstacle in front of me, and every challenge that’s still to come.

I am proud of myself. I am proud of my consistency. I am proud that even on days where I want to stay in bed crying, I still find the strength to keep climbing. I am proud of the days I allow myself to rest and feel sadness, too.

I used to drown out EVERYTHING with liquor. But now… I simply allow myself to feel, and that’s something I am grateful for. It’s uncomfortable sometimes, but that’s where healing happens.

Cheers to another year on this journey 🤙🏽

Home for the next 6 weeks 🫶🏽🏔️

I’ve accepted a job as a snowboard camp counselor, and if I’m being honest, my imposter syndrome is working overtime right now. I’ve never been away from home for this long, and stepping into something so unknown feels equal parts exciting and terrifying.

It’s taken me a while to get here. Not just the miles on the road (which is funny coming from the girl who considers a 12-hour drive a day trip), but all the little leaps of faith that came before this one.

The journey here has already taught me a lot. Now it’s time to see what this mountain has to teach me next. Here’s to the weeks of growth, adventure, discomfort, new friendships, and whatever else Mt. Hood decides to show me. by @jjkillillay

I love you, say it back 🫶🏽 @kilbyblockparty by @jjkillillay

Today marks the end of my 5th season instructing at @brightonresort . While it’s not the season many of us wanted, it was still one to be remembered in many ways!

At Brighton we’re encouraged to “L.E.A.D.S.” This is something that comes off as a joke a lot… but I find it’s quite empowering. I won’t get into all of it, but one of the focuses is to “develop great people” within ourselves and the guests we get the chance to interact with.

My journey at Brighton has been a whirlwind of ups and downs. Laughter and tears. Achievements and downfalls. Through it all though, I feel like it has done nothing short of building me into the person who I am, and that’s one of the things that makes saying goodbye so hard.

Working in ski school is crazy because one moment your in a locker room filled with 200+ of the coolest people you’ll ever meet, and then the next you’re clearing everything out without even having the opportunity to say goodbye to a vast majority of them.

The last day of the season is always the hardest.

It’s not the days in the middle of the season where you teach little rippers for 3 hours, quick reset with maybe enough time to eat or pee (but not both), before going out to teach a group of 8 adults how to pizza, just to come in exhausted and cold but having to show up one more time for the bright eyed group of kids who just got off their after school bus.

Those days are HARD. But the HARDEST one is the last day, knowing that I don’t get to show up and do that again tomorrow.

I love my job, endlessly. I am beyond grateful for everything that working for Brighton has taught and brought to me.

It’s never a goodbye, but until next time, and you already know I’ll be snow dancing until November when I get to come back to the place that is always building me 💟 by @jjkillillay

***edit: we are no longer together. It rips me to shreds. I will not erase the memories - I can’t. I’ve been told countless times that some people only enter your life for a brief moment to teach you something… And I’ve learned more about myself than imaginable. Despite everything, I hold nothing but love. ***

One year. Two countries. Five national parks. Eleven ski resorts. Thirteen states. Countless concerts, roadtrips, & memories. To say the least, this past year has been beyond memorable. While this is clearly a highlight reel, there’s also been a whole lot of learning about each other, growing, & figuring out how to keep it going. I feel so lucky to be continuing on the journey.

Did you know his name literally means light bucket? Heheh he might hate me for sharing that. 🤭 But it couldn’t be more fitting, because that is what Lucas is. Being close to him makes everything lighter & brighter. He reminds me to do the things I love. He inspires me to be more playful & to be silly. To take time for the little things. He takes the best care of me & above all is willing to keep loving me, even if things get hard.

I love you a whole honey bunches & I can’t wait to see what’s next ❤️‍🔥 by @jjkillillay

Chased @adventureclub to CO for their throwback tour and let the rest unfold. Ice castles, hot springs and vapor caves, getting playful on snow (a feeling that’s seemed distant to me so far this season)… all sparked by a single concert ticket. Never disappointed by the magic I feel when I visit this state. Thanks for making me feel alive ✨ by @jjkillillay

This highlight of the year barely scratches the surface of my camera roll… & it’s never going to stop! Already looking forward to all the people & places 2026 will lead me to. Let’s keep it going on & on 🤘🏼 by @jjkillillay

Devoted to chasing the things that make me feel alive. Many big changes this lap, and I’m excited to see how they continue to develop on the next 🫶🏽 by @jjkillillay
