Many thanks to Tone Arm and Sam Bradley for the feature on JMMR and interview w Jordan McLean that went up on their site today!

Here’s a little taste of the feature, “The Resistance’s music borders on the possibility of definition, where comparisons to Ornette Coleman and Alice Coltrane are uttered in the same breath as Death Grips or Aphex Twin. The opening track, “Virtue Signaling 139 BPM,” finds a groove that balances droniness with danceability. See their rendition of Can’s “Vitamin C” for a more linear, synthier take on their sound, paying homage to the krautrock greats. “Climate Wars 172 BPM” feels like a hypnotic theme song for a Hunter S. Thompson detective show.”

Early reviews are in and they are great!

Many thanks to EVL Magazine, You And The Music, Gerry Hectic for the kind words about this boundary pushing project.

“This 11 track album is amazing! The cover version of CAN’s ‘hit’ ‘Vitamin C’ has already made this album the ‘must have’ this month but jazz-funk electronica with sophisticated punk has never been as pure as this; there’s even a spiriutal flute gang track ‘Igor Stravinsky’ featuring Cochemea Gastelum (The DapKings) and Morgan Price (Ikebe Shakedown)”
