This article, originally published on my @substack, begins to unpack the idea of going digitally S.O.B.E.R. [Son Of a Bitch Everything's Real] by personifying the internet as a ‘partner', in order to let us reflect on our relationship with it and analogies for us to see ourselves in. It asks us to imagine our devices as if they hold the character of or something close to 'human' - bodiless but something. The article proposes our relationships as either one of a Dog, Co-worker, Obedient Wife or Father Figure with each relationship used to symbolise the varying degrees we care for and spend time with our devices in order to realise it is an intimate relationship in itself. Suggesting the idea of ‘digital intimacy' and internet intimacies as grounds to analyse how much we afford devices and have much they overwrite the aspects of humanity that we often long for. by @joella_studio

My first ever cover interview 🍀 for @astrophemagazine

In a conversation trail between East and West coast. @shabanaazeez_ connects the independent offerings of Australia with the artistic playground of LA, detailing the movements and motives behind her rising force. She speaks candidly, with a humility that clearly comes very naturally, cutting through the smoke and mirrors of the Hollywood glitz and glam in her pursuit to be 'messy and real and icky' - that is, to be human.

LOVE LANGUAGE ~ A reflection, a love letter to @alixhiggins Resort 2027 ~ An Opening Voluntary

I thought of the line that headed Alix’s opening address “There are only two types of people in the world… - Circus, Britney Spears”. I asked myself, If we are all characters in someone else’s show, how do we make sense of who we are without looking at those we surround ourselves with? Are we not just a sum of parts, and those parts being the things and people that we love? I could not make sense of it for my own identity but whilst observing the perfectly imperfect collection I had a feeling that Alix was making himself accessible in such a way.

Described as a “frenetic collage” by Alix himself, his hallmark printed prose, vivid hues and french trims were harmonised by the collection’s throughline – the emotional heartbeat.

I love fashion, I love music, I love my friends and I love the internet… and we love Alix
