You’ve been told Proverbs 31 is about perfection and doing it all—it’s not. It’s about purposeful living✨

For too long, this passage has been misunderstood, leaving women feeling like they have to ‘do it all’ to measure up. But the truth? Proverbs 31 is a call to strength, wisdom, and faith in action—not exhaustion, striving, or impossible standards. It’s a picture of what’s possible when a woman walks confidently in her God-given purpose. You are still ‘that girl’ even if you can’t see or buy land. You are still worth more than rubies sis. Live knowing that.

You were never called to strive—you were called to thrive.💛

Five miscarriages. A divorce. The enemy wanted to silence my voice, to keep me buried in grief, shame, and defeat. His goal was simple: to prevent me from sharing my story, to stop me from helping others rise and rebuild. But instead of succumbing to that pressure, I chose to rise. I chose to transform my pain into purpose.

To every woman who has faced loss or heartache: the enemy’s plan is to keep you silent, to make you believe that your struggles disqualify you from greatness- but know this… God’s plan for you is GREATER! I’m here to tell you—your story is your power. Your healing is your strength. The choice to rise and live in your purpose is yours.

You are not what you’ve lost. You are what you choose to become. And when you rise, you break every chain the enemy tried to place on you.

Sis, I get it. I spent years trying to check all the boxes, trying to avoid sin on my own, but it only led me into a cycle of religious routine. I had all the “right” actions, but no real relationship with God and I knew my heart was far from Him. I was so prideful, thinking I could figure it out in my own, doing things my way- I forfeited the power of surrendering to Him. Thank God He had patience and grace on me, giving me time to come to my senses and yield to his will and his way.

I finally got to a point of desperation, tired of the same struggle, and one day, I just wept. I cried out to God with a sincere heart, you know the cry I’m talking about, sis, that ugly cry. I told God how much I needed Him in order to change. That moment was the turning point for me. I realized I couldn’t do it on my own. I needed the Spirit to renew my mind and transform my heart.

Here’s how you can begin living out Galatians 5:16-26 today:

- Pause and pray: When temptation hits, stop and ask the Spirit to help you. He will always provide a way out (1 Corinthians 10:13).
- Praise Your Way Through: I turn on worship music to shift my perspective. It’s hard to stay in a negative headspace with praise all around me.
- Speak truth over yourself:Speak God’s promises over your life. Declare that His power within you is greater than anything holding you back (1 John 4:4).

Your struggles don’t define you. The Spirit within you is greater than what’s been holding you back. You’ve got this, sis!

Scriptures for reflection:
“No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.”- 1 Corinthians 10:13

“You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.” - 1 John 4:4

Sometimes letting your light shine looks less like being loud and more like simply being willing to be seen.

The kindness. The integrity. The grace. The way you love people. The way you live what you believe, even when you feel nervous, timid, or afraid.

Jesus never told us to hide the light He placed in us. So let it shine. Not for attention, but so someone else might see a little more of Him through you.

“Let your light shine before others…” — Matthew 5:16

Don’t envy the prosperity of this world or measure your life by what others have. This world is temporary, but our eternal reward is not. Keep your eyes on eternity, sis. Our citizenship is in heaven, and that’s where our true treasure lies. Psalms 73.

Just because it’s REAL doesn’t mean it gets to become your TRUTH.

That’s one of the enemy’s tactics.

He’ll take what actually happened, what you can see, what you’re experiencing, and use it to build a story about who you are.

You failed → “I’m a failure.”
You’re struggling → “Something must be wrong with me.”
You’re in a hard season → “This is just who I am now.”
Something didn’t work out → “Maybe I’m not enough.”

But hold on.

Your reality and your identity are not the same thing.

Sometimes a season really is hard. Sometimes God is allowing you to walk through things that develop you, expose things that need to be dealt with, or prune things you didn’t even realize were there.

The hard part is real.

But what you start believing about yourself because it’s hard? That’s where you have to be careful.

Because you can endure a difficult season without letting that season name you.

And sis, you don’t have to carry it alone.

The Holy Spirit is with you to help you. The Lord strengthens you while you wait on Him. And sometimes faith looks like simply doing the next thing you know to do while trusting God with everything you cannot.

So take heart.

This is a season.
This is an experience.
This is something you’re walking through.

It is not the final word on who you are.

You are not your reality.
You are not your struggle.
And your season does not define you.

Don’t let what you’re going through tell you who you are. 🤍

Sometimes people don’t need us to remind them that someone else has it worse, or tell them how we would handle it, they just need us to sit with them in what they’re feeling. Colossians 3:12 tells us to clothe ourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience, and I think that means learning to stop using ourselves as the measuring stick for someone else’s experience. We may not understand why something is heavy for them, but we can still be present, listen, and ask the Lord to help us love them well through it. Compassion wins every time. 🤍
