When we left Snyder, our sweet church family gifted us a weekend away in Dallas as a going-away gift…complete with a stay and some REALLY good eats. 🤍

After a big season of transition, it was such a gift to get away together, slow down, eat way too much good food 😂, and just enjoy each other.

We spent almost seven years doing ministry alongside some of the very best people, and we’ll never take for granted how well they loved our family…not just while we were there, but even in the way they sent us out.

Feeling very loved, very grateful, and very full. 🥹🤍

21 years married to my best friend!

Today, for the first time, our whole family is waking up in a brand new city far from anything familiar. God has blessed us like crazy the last 21 years, and now God has moved us changing almost every single aspect of our lives… but “we trust you Jesus.”

@calliegreen13 love that you are willing to follow Jesus with me anywhere he sends us doing anything he asks of us. What a gift you are! I couldn’t imagine doing this life with anyone else.

Thank you for your pursuit of godliness, for always pointing me and everyone us to worship and follow Jesus, and for actively going after deep, meaningful community.

I don’t honestly know what all God has in store for this next chapter of our lives, but I love that you are with me. I’m excited about all He might do in us and though us. To God be the glory! by @joshgreen84

Whelp, we’re really doing it, Har. If you don’t get that reference, we can’t be friends.

Yesterday was a great day. Senior Sunday, Student Led Sunday, Student Leader Hang, and Adult Leader Hang.

For real though Snyder, what a great 7 years we have had. It was so good for my heart, mind, and soul. I grew and learned so much. God did a crazy work in us and I’m so grateful.

He also did an insane work through us. We actively and consistently saw God move and work in the lives of students, parents, adult leaders, and more. It’s crazy that God uses sinners like us to help impact people for eternity. What a humbling thought!

The kindness and support we have received from this community from day one was overwhelmingly good. Thank you all for loving us, supporting us, and always being willing to help us invest in the next generation.

I keep saying this, but it’s true: we had a great run! Praise God. And I know it will continue.

Everyone- keep pursuing Him! Love yall. by @joshgreen84

In the summer of 2019, when we first heard about the opening for youth pastor at CHBC, my immediate prayer over the students was from Colossians 1:9-11:

“We are asking that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding, so that you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing to him: bearing fruit in every good work and growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power, according to his glorious might, so that you may have great endurance and patience, joyfully.”

Looking back now, I can truly say the Lord has answered that prayer. Yes, we’ve grown in numbers, but even more than that, we’ve grown in depth. It has been such an honor to walk alongside these students and watch them pursue Jesus with sincerity and hunger.

This past Wednesday, during a large group session a teen who isn’t even part of our weekly ministry shared that she had witnessed “true intimacy with Jesus” in this group the few times she had come. The moment she said that, I immediately thought back to those prayers from 2019.
And as we move forward, my prayers for Colonial students and leaders…is the bridge of a song we sang this morning…

“May I never lose the wonder of Your presence
May I always stand in awe of who You are
Oh, the beauty and the gift of Your friendship is unlike anything I’ve ever known” by @joshgreen84

Two weeks out with injury.
A tough 800.
Didn’t advance.

He was bummed but said,
“My identity isn’t in my running ability but in Christ..I’m sad but not devastated.”

Then he anchored the 4x4 relay, chased down his opponent, and advanced to Area. 🙌🏻🔥

I’ll take that perspective any day over any win. by @joshgreen84

After a lot of prayer and many conversations, our family will be moving and stepping away from our ministry roles here. This place has shaped us in ways we could never fully explain. The people, the memories, and the ways we’ve seen God work….it has truly been sacred ground for our family.

We were not looking to leave, but God has made it clear that He is leading us in a new direction. We will be relocating to the Rockwall area and joining the staff of a church there, with our transition beginning June 1st.

Leaving is not easy. This community has loved us so well, and we are forever grateful. We have served alongside the best ministry team we could have ever asked for, and Colonial Students is thriving and growing. The Lord has been so kind to us here.

He has been faithful in every season, and we trust Him with this one too.

Thank you for walking with us, praying for us, and being part of our story.

We love you, Snyder. Always.
