@mulligrubmusic new album is up today. The name tragical comes from the line in the back street boys song where they say “loneliness is tragical” and we were like, “that’s not a real word is it?” And it turns out it is. I play drums and sing in this band and I also mixed this record. It’s been a LONG time coming… I think we recorded the bed tracks that became this album with @exprntrds 5 years ago or something?? And hilariously we were touring these songs for years without really having recordings of them. Anyhoooo I’m proud of how it turned out and I’m glad people will finally hear it :) thanks @jordanjackiew for mastering this and giving it a final once over years after I had lost all objectivity 😂 #independentartist #touring #punk #music #love #pals #apocolypse #endtimes by @jrileyhill

Today is released: a new version of my EP. It has some alternate versions of the songs on the EP. Are they better? Are they worse? I don’t know, but I like them. My whole thing with this project is that I’m always making sounds and songs. A song here a song there… songs everywhere. sometimes when I listen to those songs later I think, That song is good and sometimes I think, that song is not good. I was experimenting with the ideas of the songs and what it is that I like about them. What really is it about them that makes it good to me? Is it the “vibe” is it the sounds is it the melody? can I change them and have it still be something i like? How far can I go with it? It turns out pretty far I guess, it’s been an interesting experience. #ambient #ambientmusic #electronicmusic Slide 1: the cover of means ep 2 it’s a grainy picture of the moon through some trees, the part with the moon is zoomed in. Slide 2: black and white picture of me on a couch pointing looking tired. Slide 3: a mascot for pepperoni sticks who is a large man with a chefs hat making a strange smiling face. taken in Winnipeg, MB, Canada by @jrileyhill

Miigwech @kevinsur & @kexp for always supporting my weird music. glad it connects with American side neetchies! That’s where I found so much inspiring experimental work, like @ravenchcn & the amazingly story teller the late Red medicine Arty of ‘the medicine singers’ , I had the honour of joining that session and he came out even though, ms kat , was sick and he gave a very emotional monologue to start the session, please go find it if you can, it’s very touching. Then so many more when I was introduced to the @forgeprojectny world that threads music and visual together. New single out now “one too many nights” and new album “Happy thought school” aka one of the, what I like to call ”late stage residential schools” out June 19th Via @paperbagrecords . in the album I have family recordings of them, in the 70’s, not being let off the bus. It’s a very emotional album with moments of truth that everyone will be faced with, I can’t wait to share that part of it. Until then thanks for listen to the new single ft @samjvnior and co written by @jrileyhill #kexp #newmusic #brokensocialscene taken in Turtle Island by @jrileyhill

Music video by zoon film productions featuring Howard Bilerman driving me around in his car!. New album out June 19th! Via @paperbagrecords @tayfpr #moccasingaze #dreampop #newmusic “One To Many Nights - is the feeling after a break up and you start to change your daily routines, the way you conduct yourself, the way you think and feel eternally. I haven’t dated much so it’s always profound to me when something ends, the vulnerability gained and lost. But in the end you know how your life should be, in that time, and alone was mine.”-Zoon taken in Luxton by @jrileyhill
