Last night, “Your Mind Is Not a To-Do List” came to life IRL — in collaboration with the County of San Diego Black Chamber of Commerce @sdblackchamber. 📝

Nothing beats being in the room. Attendees told me the brain dump made them nervous at first… and then came the relief. Every single time.

Thank you to @bbbpacsw for hosting us.

Thank you to my Sun, @jayfrizzy_08, who stepped in as my content partner. Watching him work is its own kind of full circle.

Mid 2024 I decided I was ready. After 15+ years post undergrad, it was time to move forward. I couldn’t fathom the sacrifices I’d need to make. The level of focus required. The life moments I’d experience that would threaten completion. The travel. All while mothering, spiritually developing, and being.

This time, I wanted it! Walking across this stage thickened my skin. 💅🏾

I’m overjoyed to share, as of May 8, 2026, I have completed my MBA, with a concentration in Marketing from the illustrious @_hamptonu with a 4.1 GPA #TheRealHU #pirate

July in Orlando has become a mini tradition. Last year my mommy was my +1. She tried Ethiopian food for the 1st time. We stayed with my @buildwithbia family, The Frazier’s. So so interesting… A couple of weeks ago I finally got around to taking the StrengthsFinder assessment.

The idea of looking at self improvement from a “what do I have” lens intrigues me. Instead of focusing 99% to improve deficiencies, I’ve decided to understand and double down on my strengths.

After the assessment, I returned to the book to study my top 5 areas.

Highlight: Out of 34 themes, STRATEGIC, is in my top 5.

Always noting to self. I deeply enjoy learning about myself, the quirks, the whys.
