Don't mind us, just starstruck by these gorgeous human beings who helped bring THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD to glorious life! 🤩 Congratulations to our talented cast, crew, and creative team, pictured here on opening night. Presented by Artists at Play and the Latino Theater Company, this rare revival now runs Thursday-Sunday. 🚂 (link in bio for tickets)

Utilizing the beauty and athleticism of Chinese Opera, THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD explores the friendship between two immigrant laborers during the 1867 Chinese Railroad Workers Strike. Set on a California mountaintop, Lone and Ma reminisce about the homes they left behind in China, the lives they hope to build, and what it means to chase the American Dream.

Today, I am dancing for no reason at all.

Ma (u/s) in David Henry Hwang’s The Dance and The Railroad
@artistatplay 15th Year Anniversary Season MainStage with @latinotheatreco

Last night, I had the incredible honor of making my regional theatre debut at the Los Angeles Theatre Center. And I was lucky enough to look across the stage and see my best friend, my scene partner, grinning at me from ear to ear.

Words cannot express the gratitude I have for each and every person who showed up and showed out to support this milestone in our careers. Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this crazy journey I get to call a career, for inspiring me, pushing me, and uplifting me. I love you all!

Lastly, thank you to @artistsatplay and the entire cast and crew of this production for believing in our ability to breathe life into these important characters that allow us to reflect on our history as asians and as americans. by @k.egu05

THIS SATURDAY (October 10) is the special Understudy Performance of THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD! Get to know KOSI EGUCHI and LOUIS NG, our ✨wunderstudy✨ castmate-roommate besties ...

LOUIS NG (Lone u/s) is a San Francisco native thrilled to be making his professional debut with Artists at Play! He started his acting journey at the New Conservatory Theatre Center when he was just 10 years old where he soon found his love for creating stories. In his last year at the UCLA School of Theater, Film & Television, Louis' love for storytelling spans from staged productions and devised works to films and commercial work.

KOSI EGUCHI (Ma u/s) is a senior at the UCLA School of Theater, Film, and Television. Kosi's credits include "Girl On An Altar," "Coriolanus," "Urgent Care" (HFF), and "Good Tidings" (Edinburgh FF). Kosi is deeply grateful to the Artists at Play family and creative team for trusting him with this story. He is honored to begin this new chapter with a company dedicated to uplifting AAPI voices.

Utilizing the beauty and athleticism of Chinese opera, THE DANCE AND THE RAILROAD explores the friendship between two immigrant laborers during the 1867 Chinese railroad workers’ strike—and the lives they hope to build as they chase the American Dream.
