It’s easy to train hard. It’s entirely different to drop in.

We used a small bit of somatic breathwork this week to break through the psychological static and force a shift in physiologies.

Beauty is the absolute silence inside the mind when even pieces of the armor comes off.

High Performance is full spectrum training.

SIT (Stress inoculation Training/Therapy) at its finest!

Spend enough time pushing people through breathwork, recovery & hard training, & eventually someone is going to say:

“Fuck you, Kai.”

Usually while smiling.

I’ll take it.

Because somewhere between “Dammit, Kai” & whatever insult comes next, people are learning to stay present, control their breathing & keep working when things get uncomfortable.

That was a big part of our time with the Patrol Base Abbate / Big Fish Foundation Strength Club crew in Montana.

Push. Breathe. Recover. Laugh. Repeat. 😮‍💨

Love you guys too. 🖕😂

Working with the crew @twinscrewsfoundation was so much fun! We had lots of ice going, swimming, hypoxic training, intense breathwork sessions, laughter, great food and incredible humans.

Can not wait to work with you all again next year!!

A day in Charleston…

A family meet up point in a very unique city. Some of us haven’t seen each other in years and it felt like we hadn’t lost anytime at all. So blessed. by @kailanicook20

Stop growing. Please. 🥺😍 by @kailanicook20

When you transcend the annoyances, stressors, frustrations and fear and F.R.E.E yourself into bliss.

This training works…just ask this 6 yr old!

5 min Ice Plunge Club 🤩

Submerging your hands in ice water brings a new level of suck that forces most people to stop at 30 seconds. When you push past the mental alarms screaming at you and earn the chemical boost your body delivers on the other side, you’ll be buzzing with pride and endorphins. Choose the suck. Earn the flow state. Uplevel your mental game.

💪🧠😮‍💨

It was amazing running a Beach WOD with HolyCity CrossFit this weekend. Being back at the beach and seeing dolphins play while people learned hypoxic burpees was an unreal experience. Let’s do this again! by @kailanicook20
