Tucker’s journey with Autism-a peek into our two year journey…so far

We are sharing our journey with the hopes that it may help others going through similar situations.

We know first hand how a diagnosis like Autism can feel like a major punch in the gut. However, it was through watching and hearing others stories that helped us maneuver our own situation. From getting a diagnosis to figuring out what treatments we would do. We plan to share what has and has not worked for us throughout this process.

Currently, Tucker goes to ABA (Applied Behavioral Analysis) therapy 5 days a week, with occupational therapy and speech therapy added a couple of days in each week.

Most recently we did a two week intensive with @dr.joshmadsen @infinityneuromotor to really focus on getting rid of some of his retained primitive reflexes, while also doing light therapy to help with cognitive function and hyperbaric chamber for inflammation/circulation. We will share more on our intensive experience in another post!

Thank you to the many that have already given us tremendous support. We are so thankful for such supportive family, friends & community. We love ya’ll!

🧩 TUCKER’S STEM CELL THERAPY JOURNEY FOR AUTISM 💙

We’ve received lots of questions, so I wanted to share a little about Tucker’s treatment!

🩺 What did Tucker receive?
50 million investigational mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) through an IV infusion.

💤 Did he need sedation?
Sedation is NOT typically required. However, Tucker needed it because he wouldn’t tolerate an IV while awake.

His nausea afterward was related to the sedation, not necessarily the stem cells. Without sedation, the process would have been much quicker!

📍 Where did we go?
BetterStem in Miami, Florida.

BetterStem offers investigational stem cell treatments under Institutional Review Board (IRB) protocols and uses ethically sourced MSCs.

✨ What are the potential benefits?
Early research is exploring possible improvements in:

• Behavior, focus & social interaction
• Language & communication
• Sleep quality
• Neurological function

🤍 Is it a cure?
No. Stem cell therapy is still experimental for autism, and results are not guaranteed.

🩵 Is it safe?
Some early studies have reported no serious treatment-related adverse events, but long-term safety and effectiveness are still being studied.

💵 Cost: can be based on weight as to how many cells are recommended. Tucker weighs 48lb. Cost was $10,900

Our hope: To support Tucker’s development and quality of life. We know every child is different, and we’re simply sharing our personal journey as we learn along the way. 💙

BIG DAY today. 🥹🩵 Tucker starts KINDERGARTEN, and Avery begins her SOPHOMORE year.

My heart is overflowing with every emotion imaginable. I’m praying Tucker learns, grows, gains confidence, and absolutely thrives in this new chapter. And I’m praying Avery continues to grow into the kind, strong, beautiful young woman God has created her to be. by @kasirosa

We are not well. 😭😭😭

Today Tucker officially “graduated” from @nashvillekidpro , where he’s received therapy 5 days a week, 6 hours a day, for the last 3 years.

When we first received his autism diagnosis, we were overwhelmed and had no idea where to begin. KidPro became our lifeline. They poured so much love, patience, and encouragement into our sweet boy, and we’ll never be able to thank them enough.

Looking back at where Tucker started and seeing how far he’s come is truly incredible. The growth we’ve watched over these last three years has been nothing short of amazing.

It’s so bittersweet to close this chapter. We are forever grateful for every therapist who believed in him, celebrated every milestone, and loved him like their own.

Now our little guy is off to his next big adventure…Kindergarten. 🥹 We couldn’t be prouder of you, Tucker. Thank you, @nashvillekidpro , for helping build the foundation that got him here. We will always be thankful for you. 🤍
