ace is a gift to myself she is fluid in both gender (expression) and movement but i am ace and ace is kate call me one or interchange them "that belongs to kate" "have you seen ace?" i still heavily identify with womanhood, psychologically. as a caretaker, leader, organizer, creator, artist, chef, and someone who thinks beyond the limitations of our society. but this dysphoria has driven me mad some days. i'll get people stare at me for what seems like minutes. though, i just got back into makeup. it confuses them more. as a creative, i find this as an opportunity. to be whoever the hell i want. so if this is confusing, i implore you to understand why and dig deeper. what is the difference between gender identity and gender expression? look it up if you don't know! thank you @steezymango for taking these incredible shots. you have always been a light in this world. thank you for your time by @katedimalanta

Ace Dimalanta (she/her) is a dance instructor specializing in hip hop choreography. She currently studies & practices several dances, including: contemporary, jazz, ballet, house, vogue femme, tutting, and waving. She is also an instructor at broadway babies and kids (@broadwaybabiesandkids) Ace is a founder of BABA G @bayareabandsandartists.ag and hosts concerts as DJ Di-¢ENT (@dicent.wav) She believes that art, especially music & dance, is the ultimate form of resistance. ----- Class Format ------ Introduction Warm up Movement & Stretches Explore & Apply Build Choreo Present Cool Down ---------------------------- A note from the instructor: This class is designed to introduce movement through a community gathering, following a “workshop” format. Choreography will be created live, in real time. I want my students to focus on building their technique through collaborative efforts with each other. It makes learning more fun and easy! Please watch through this entire video. We are looking for donations to Mohammed's @sky_of_humanity_team__gaza that distributes food and water to his local community. We jumpstarted this campaign with @bayareabandsandartists.ag last weekend, but we need to continue the momentum. We also are raising donations for his family. Please consider donating to help him fix his tent, which he and his family of 9 currently live in. Both links are in my bio. Thanks by @katedimalanta
