First day of kindergarten for our Iris. I have been very much in my feels all last night and this morning. I am so proud of this little girl. She is so full of joy and magic. I just can’t believe we’re here at this day. Time really is the biggest thief. by @kayteesuesanchez

A beautiful day in our city- we went to the balloon museum, had lunch 60 stories up (🔥 burger @manhatta_nyc ) - and the 9/11 memorial to pay our respects to those fallen.

Her first stroller ride to today- saying good bye to our @uppababy - this was the first gift we got after sharing we were going to be parents. And as a NYC kid, and a kid whose parents bring her EVERYWHERE this stroller was everything. It’s gone everywhere with us, on every adventure, it’s held tears and laughter and so many messes. Its kept her entertained, warm, cool, cozy, comfy- it was always full of snacks. This stroller was so important to our lives. It gave us freedom and adventure- we called it the tank because it could handle anything. This stroller has been so well loved. A stroller is so much more than a stroller when you live here. No one warns you how bittersweet it is to let it go. We have a big kid now. The girl who we prayed would walk, would run, would dance now does that all over her city. This is ✨ 38 ✨

Also marks my 20th year in NYC. It’s my favorite place in the world and I get to live here with my favorite people in the world. I feel so genuinely appreciative of this life I have. I’ve lived many different lives here but this one is my favorite. Raising our Iris in Brooklyn is the most fun experience yet! I had this realization on the subway yesterday as I looked down at her next to me. How fast the (almost) first 5 years have gone and how in 5 more years she’ll be 10. And what will she be like? And how is that possible? It’s so fleeting, when they say don’t blink you kind of don’t get it until you live it. Because really don’t blink. It ended up being a reminder for me to just really be present with her, to unclench my shoulders and soak it all in. Right now she’s so funny, smart, curious, and so full of love. Iris is so lucky that the universe chose you to be her papi. The greatest decision of my life was marrying you and creating our little family. You show up every day in 100 different ways, you make her feel loved and safe. You’re never too busy to listen to her wild stories or watch her full on productions. You always say yes to playing and adventuring. You take her to the playgrounds so I don’t have to. You put in so much of yourself everyday. You’re the very best Papi I’ve ever seen. Our girl is on her way to Kindergarten!!! We could not be more proud of all the hard work she’s put into pre-k. Her confidence is growing and she learned so much. She’s funny, smart, and oh so loving. We are so lucky to be her parents. ✨ I really can’t believe my baby is going to kindergarten- that seems so impossible to me. A great trip in Miami with our girl. We got lots of sun, sand and pool time. We ate and laughed. Filled our memories cup right up.

The @frostscience museum is an absolute must if you have kids. I was blown away, it was so cool! by @kayteesuesanchez
