My first mural was a whirlwind! After all the planning, the group painting session, Multnomah Days, and the late night detailing, we finished this huge wall. I ran off to Japan before posting some final photos.

Process: Most of the time I’m drawing digitally, but for @rei I busted out my trusty old @posca_usa markers and did it by hand! And in the end, dropped it into @procreate for a little bit of motion. If I have the time, I always prefer using traditional media. taken in Portland, Oregon by @kevintudball

Can you see the joy on my face? That’s because we’d just gotten the community together to help paint my first mural. Community art is truly special. As an artist it requires you to let go and allow for things to change and adapt as needed. As a volunteer you get to be apart of something that brings your community together and you get to see the finished product in your neighborhood and say “I did that!” Very thankful for my community. These photos were taken by local photographer @shootdayone and really showcase the feeling of that first day of work. taken in Multnomah Village by @kevintudball

A lot of people have that one album that changed their lives. It introduced you to a scene, a genre, or your people. For me, it was this album. Before I discovered this album at a Borders Books in Novi, MI I mostly listened to the radio. This album opened my eyes to a whole world of artists, musicians, concerts and people. The cover art being by @theotherfudge made him one of my favorite illustrators of all time and inspired me to pursue illustration as a career. Happy to do my interpretation for my first gallery show in many years. by @kevintudball
