This reel is a start-to-finish look at the creation of a 22-inch mandala I made as a surprise gift for an incredible human. ✨

Sometimes you create something simply because somebody’s kindness deserves to be reflected back at them. 🤍

This piece was created for someone who does so much for dog rescue, advocacy, and helping animals that don’t always get a fair chance. Along with the mandala, I also sent four of my handmade leather collars to hopefully help with fundraising or auction efforts.

I’m purposely not saying who this is for because this truly wasn’t about recognition, tags, or clout. I just wanted to do something kind for someone whose work I find deeply meaningful.

If you know me, you know how much I love dogs, and how much I admire people who dedicate their time, energy, and hearts to helping them. The world needs more people like that.

Just trying to put a little more kindness out into the world. 🐾

There’s something about monochrome purples/mauves that feels both calming and powerful at the same time 💜✨

This new commissioned piece is layered with soft tonal shifts, pops of crisp white, tons of sparkle, mini mirrors, and a unique pinwheel-inspired center that catches the light from every angle. Depending on where you’re standing, different details suddenly come alive 👀

I wanted this one to feel dreamy, soothing, and just a little bit magical.

22 inches of purple magic in the works 💜✨

This one is being created for a true purple lover, and I decided to try something a little different with the center design. Right now it’s just the beginning… but I’ve got big plans for this piece 👀

Think metallics, pearlized paints, sparkle, bling, and all those little details that make a mandala come alive when the light hits it just right ✨

I already love the direction it’s taking, and I can’t wait to keep building the layers on this one.

So excited to finally share this special addition to my collection 💜

I’ve been admiring the work of Tabitha Schae for quite some time—especially her newer pieces with those beautiful, moody purple-toned skies. There’s something about the depth and atmosphere she creates that just draws you in.

I was lucky enough to bring home this stunning mountain scene, and as if that wasn’t enough, she also surprised me with the sweetest 2x2 mini magnet of our stable 🥹 Such a thoughtful, personal touch that makes her work feel even more meaningful. I also scored another 2x2 mini magnet of a mountain scene—either sunrise or sunset—and I absolutely love it.

Tabitha’s art is truly one-of-a-kind, and she brings that same warmth and kindness into everything she does—she’s also the person behind the Calgary Art Community and does an incredible job running it.

This one feels like a deep exhale 💙

A 16” mandala on birchwood in soft calypso blues and those tealy minty greens I keep coming back to… with just a pop of white to brighten it up. The brush strokes are a bit bigger and bolder on this one, which gave it a really nice flow while still keeping that calm, soothing vibe.

It’s one of those pieces that doesn’t shout for attention… it just quietly settles into a space.

Do you prefer softer, calming palettes like this, or something a bit more bold?

A little experiment that has me really intrigued to explore this further ✨

This 6-inch stretched canvas started as one of my old beadwork patterns I used for a Western belt… and I had this idea—what if I translated that design into dot art painting?

It definitely came with a few learning curves (hello, tiny details 😅), but I’m so glad I tried it. There’s something about those Southwestern, Santa Fe-inspired patterns that feels so natural in this style.

And now that I’ve worked out a few of the kinks… I’ve got some bigger ideas brewing for a larger piece 👀

There’s something so calming about the soft, natural sound of bamboo wind chimes… and when you add a little mandala magic? 🤍✨

My friend Tanya made one and shared it with me—and I instantly fell in love with the sound 🎶 It’s one of those simple, beautiful things that just slows everything down.

So of course… I had to create my own with customized mandala artwork 🌿

I can already imagine sitting on the deck this summer, coffee in hand, listening to the gentle chime and just being ✨

I can finally share this one 💛🌿

This 10” hand-painted mandala was created as part of a surprise Spring Exchange organized by Yoli… and it’s been so hard to keep it under wraps!

Inspired by that gentle shift into spring — when the air softens, lilies begin to bloom, and everything feels like it’s quietly waking up again 🌼✨

Soft yellows, calming purples, touches of gold to catch the light… and delicate pearls nestled throughout for that extra hint of glow 🤍

A little piece of that “spring is almost here” feeling.

Well, I wasn’t expecting to post twice in one day but I just couldn’t wait. Like Christmas morning, waiting is no fun!

My ‘Spring Mandala Exchange’ package came today and here is the official unboxing! My secret person was Kim from @kim.dot.calm and JUST LOOK at these beautiful handmade gifts! A beautiful spring mandala all dressed up with bling (mirrors and pearls), chocolates, stickers, a beautiful necklace, and (not shown) some dotting items - micro-dotting rings I’ve always wanted to try. 🙂

I’m just beyond grateful and 100% blown away with the thought and care that went into this package. 🙏 Thank you so much Kim! 💖🥰 My words in the video just don’t show my excitement! Love this entire community! ❤️
