“Home is not just a physical place but a feeling stitched together through memory, resilience, and imagination. Hoppe’s use of familiar, comforting motifs serves as a quiet act of preservation — a way to hold onto tenderness in the face of uncertainty. Each painting becomes a kind of offering: a reminder that even as landscapes shift and stability wavers, the essence of home can still be cultivated and shared.”

PNW folks! I’ll be heading your way next week for an extended visit through sept and would love to take on a couple more projects. Let me know if you have a charming, old house in need of a remodel or a wall asking to be painted with joyful flowers!
I do full drawing sets and finish/fixture specs that you can hand off to your contractor—I’ve also been told that I’m a delight to work with 👼🏼, let’s keep adding charm and whimsy to this world while preserving the character of older homes 🌼
Call me 🤙🏽 (dm me)
Also, let’s surf! First stop, Oregon Coast 🙌🏽. Then Seattle & Olympic Peninsula ❤️‍🔥 taken in The PNW by @kimhoppeee

New painting for the @mcasantabarbara “Arte del Pueblo” community group show 🌸 “Feelings of Familiarity” cherry blossoms, mandarins & poppies.
Opening reception June 7th, 12-3!

Also opening alongside is @tama_art_2 solo exhibition “Memories of Barbed Wire: Resilience in the Japanese American Community” with works showing the Minidoka, Idaho concentration camp. My grandma and her family were in this camp and it feels kismet to be showing a painting alongside Tama’s show. She will also have a sculptural piece commemorating Minidoka survivors, where u can see this sweet photo of my tiny grandma and I 🥹 taken in Santa Barbara, California by @kimhoppeee
