I RAN MY FIRST MARATHON

Last year, it became one of my goals to run a marathon. I hadn’t even run half of one or shorter distances at the time! Regardless, I started running, training, and meeting the Lord through running. I couldn’t run a half marathon that I signed up for last year because of an injury, but last weekend, I ran my first marathon in 5 hrs and 49 minutes. I’m so grateful to God for giving me the ability to accomplish this goal, and for what He taught me through it. Training for and running a marathon is SO MUCH like training in our walk with Christ and running the race of faith. I truly couldn’t have done it without Him, and I wouldn’t have wanted to. Time and time again, I see how God’s power is made perfect in my weakness. To God be the glory!

I have the most incredible support system. Thank you to those who supported me in person or from afar, and by encouraging me and believing in me. I love you. 💕

I am still fundraising for long-term missions through this marathon if you would like to donate! You can do so with the link attached! God bless you! taken in Boulder, Colorado by @kingdomlifemissions

I’M TURNING MY FIRST MARATHON INTO A FUNDRAISER FOR LONG-TERM MISSIONS

I’ve been “running” with Jesus for almost ten years, and I decided to put my faith into action by running my first marathon with @boulderthon THIS SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 27TH.

Training for a marathon has taught me a lot about my walk with Christ and life in missions: to keep going when things get hard, to praise Him in the pain, that weakness is not failure, and that HIS STRENGTH enables me to do what I can’t do on my own.

Now, I’m running to keep running the race God has set before me—to keep saying yes to Him, to go wherever He sends me, and to make Jesus known.

I don’t know exactly what every mile ahead will look like, but I know I want to keep following Him.

This next season, I’ll be heading to YWAM Los Angeles as I take the next steps toward serving long-term in Italy, with the vision of eventually serving as a long-term missionary in Japan.

My goal is to raise $2,620 for 26.2 miles by October 2nd. Every dollar will help support my journey into long-term missions.

Will you run with me?

✨ BREAKFAST & PREP ✨

This past week, I taught twice in our @titusprojectkona! The first teaching was on presenting the Inductive Method of studying the Bible, and the second was on the fall of humanity, Jesus as the promise of redemption, and the person of Jesus.

This was my setup as I was prepping for these teachings—yogurt and fruit bowl with green iced tea; or maybe some peanut butter toast with a matcha latte. Both were paired with a beautiful view and some sweet Italian sounds in the background.

I’m learning a lot in this new season as I prepare to lead a team who will be teaching the Bible in another nation. I’m truly so grateful that the Lord has given me this opportunity to teach. Glory be to the King! taken in YWAM University Of The Nations by @kingdomlifemissions

✨ STUDENT ARRIVAL ✨

The students have officially arrived and the quarter has begun! Before student arrival, the staff arrive about a week in advance to do staff training and prepare for the students. I’ve stayed in many different places, dorms, rooms, etc. in my time in missions, but I’ve never really bothered make a place feel “homey-y” because I knew I wouldn’t stay long term.

Recently, the Lord has been teaching me about consistency, and with that came the knowledge that consistency doesn’t necessarily depend on how long or how settled I am somewhere, but rather the consistent rhythms that I create everywhere I am.

So, this time around, though we’re in Kona for less than a month, I wanted to make our 16+ girl dorm room feel like home. I headed to the campus boutique where past and present missionaries donate anything from clothes to books to home goods, and people on campus can “shop” for free, and I picked up some room decor that I found. I furnished our dorm with what I could and then I asked the girls for a picture of their families to hang on the wall.

My desire is to partner with God to see His kingdom come in every space I find myself in, and to create beauty with the Creator. Even if I have to use my shoe because I don’t have a hammer. 🤪 by @kingdomlifemissions

Had the privilege of worshipping and sharing at my home church today, @ncc.longmont, about what the Lord has done the last three months in my time @ywamcultivate. 🙌🏼❤️

FRUITFUL is the word for the last three months.

As I look back on all that the Lord has done, I stand in nothing but awe and gratitude. God is so good. Period. Meditating upon His goodness stirs up a desire in me to surrender it all back on the altar, over and over again. God is so worthy of all of me—of all of US.

Thank you, Pastor Donnie, @ncc.longmont staff and members for championing me, believing in me and supporting me every step of the way.

As we enter the new year, I find myself in a place of surrender again, placing everything before Him, and receiving what HE has for the upcoming year. To God be the glory.

📸 Huge thank you to @michellewhisnermyers for beautifully capturing these moments. ❤️ taken in New Creation Church - Longmont, Colorado by @kingdomlifemissions

Why do I love God?

Because He first loved me.

He loved me when I was completely blinded by my sin.
He loved me at the lowest and darkest place of my life.
He loved me when I chose everything besides Him.
He loved me when I said I would change, but I never did.
He loved me when I only cried out to Him in hard times.
He loved me when I paid Him no attention.
He loved me.

In the midst of literally being tormented by demons and unable to escape my sin, I cried out to Jesus for help and in that instant, He came to my rescue. He saved me from a darkness that would’ve taken me out and left me as a hopeless case.

He turned my sin into righteousness.
He turned my darkness to light.
He turned my emptiness into joy.
He brought what was dead back to life.

I will never deserve the price that Jesus paid on the cross for me, neither His resurrection that grants me eternal life, but by His grace, and for the rest of my life, I will live to tell of how He saved me and changed my story.

I am so grateful that sin and darkness did not have the final word in my life, but Jesus did. He has given me so much purpose, worth and value that the world could never give nor that I could give myself. If He loved (and loves) a sinner like me, I know that there is no place too dark or evil that He won’t forgive.

“but God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”

This marks the third time that I’ve felt the Lord tell me to share Jesus/proclaim the gospel publicly on a plane!

Spoiler alert: It’s still not easy.

The first time I could feel my heart pounding. The second time I stumbled over my words. The third time I hesitated with what to say; but it was easier the third time.

This past year, the Lord has been calling me to step out and proclaim the gospel in public places. It scared me SO MUCH. I had to hype myself up for so long before doing it and every time my heart was pounding. It still scares me; but as I obey the Lord in what I feel like He’s telling me (still working on obeying every time), I get a renewed sense of confidence that He is with me and I don’t need to fear man. I get a deeper revelation of eternity and God’s love for people. I become more grounded in the fact that my life is not my own and I have been crucified with Christ.

Jesus, help me to continue to sacrifice my reputation, my comfort, my all because You gave it all for me. Jesus, You are worthy. taken in Philadelphia International Airport by @kingdomlifemissions

This past weekend, different churches and organizations in France came together to distribute 10,000 Bibles in the city of Lyon for the Festival of Lights.

In total, we distributed about 8,500 French Bibles in 3 days and almost 80% of people who took them were under the age of 30.

We literally stood on the busy streets of Lyon saying “Bonsoir, Bible gratuit (Good evening, free Bible),” and people would come up and take one, ask questions about the Bible, and leave more curious than before about who Jesus is.

I had so much fun doing this and I’m encouraged to continue doing it! People are searching for something REAL and TRUE, and Jesus and the Holy Bible have the answers we’re all looking for. May Jesus’ name be exalted and His Word continue to change lives, and may we never be ashamed of the gospel of Jesus Christ. ❤️‍🔥 taken in Lyon, France by @kingdomlifemissions

Hello and welcome to my missions page!

My name is Stephanie and I am a full-time missionary. However, I don’t believe that my geographical location is what qualifies me as a missionary. More than and before being a missionary, I am a child of God. Everything that I do and who I am now is based on the simple truth that I am God’s because of the death and resurrection of Jesus; and therefore, I am called to make Him known (2 Corinthians 5:20)! This is why I believe in missions as a lifestyle—I am not a missionary when I feel like it, but rather because I am a child of God!

I created this page to post specific content of my life as a full-time missionary. Thanks for joining me, and I pray that the content on this page encourages you to live a bold life for Christ and to seek Him and love Him more and more. God bless you! by @kingdomlifemissions
