Finlay Taylor: Run, Hide, Hibernate

9 – 31 October 2026
Opening Thursday 8 October 6 – 9pm

‘You were wondering I think, how long would it take for the garden snail you trod on once to travel a mile. You know, if it had lived, if you had been more aware of the surroundings and those single footed, moisture seeking beings, to travel a mile. Well, if it didn’t stop, just kept on going, it would make the distance in around 33 hours. You won’t watch it happen, of that, I am sure…’

⭐️Studiomember news⭐️

@anne_ryan_painter exhibition Folkmoot is open until the 9th of January 2027- so you have no excuse to miss it!

We were lucky enough to make the opening and see some of the great work made in our studios and @rochestersquareoffical

Located in Bloomberg, SPACE, and installed above an ancient Roman Temple of Mithras.
Folkmoot is an Old English word meaning ‘a gathering of people’. In Anglo-Saxon times Londoners were summoned to the Folkmoot by the ringing of the bells of St Paul’s three times a year.

“Open-ended walks, or ‘saunters’, allow the city to unfold in fragments and open up with possibilities: dreamscapes, fictional spaces, historical sites. While walking, the city becomes a living constellation: stories, memories and observations collide with imagined futures and long-buried pasts.”

We are proud to say that we raised over £200 for West Hampstead Community Food Hub! Thank you to everyone who bought tickets at our recent raffle as part of our Open Studios, thank you to all our studiomembers and @cassart1984 for their generous donations!

West Hampstead Community Food Hub, provides an essential service to people in the local area by providing weekly food parcels to families and individuals in need, run from Siding’s Community Centre @sidingsscc. Last week we had the honour of meeting Pranay who gave us an insight into how their great organisation works. Come visit and catch sight of the Antony Gormley statue in the neighbouring Maygrove Peace park.

@whampfoodhub are still accepting donations which can be made through the justgiving link in their bio

Looking back at @chrisbrambleceramics shoot with @drmartensofficial from earlier this year.
We are proud to say our studio-members are stylish as well as creative!

“Organic forms that merge African aesthetics with modern techniques.”

@chrisbrambleceramics blends the world around him with African heritage to capture contemporary Black culture through clay. His nearly 4 decades of dedication to his craft make him the perfect wearer of our 1461 shoe. Both are still developing, and both are proudly made in England”.

“a celestial place at the intersection of English nursery rhymes and folklore.”

We went to see studio-member Lucy Stein’s, @lucyjanestein’s mural at The Dreamery, @dreameryldn De Beauvoir Town, last week. Sampled a delicious green tea ice cream and gazed up at the hand-painted, unryu Japanese rice-paper panels created on the floors of our studios!

Always lovely to see our artist’s work in person 🍨🎠☁️
