This is my version of an ancient Chinese hu. The original was made of bronze which is much easier to use to join up the handle segments. I tried making it all in clay, but the connections kept cracking. So I decided to use copper wire, and I like the contrast in materials. It was made with my favorite Atlantic Autumn White clay made by Laguna. My retro Halloween room scene plate collaboration with @kiwiunderglaze !! 🎃🐈‍⬛👻🦇✨

I was so excited when they contacted me and asked if I would make and film a video of painting this plate (I will also post the video on my page) but you may see clips of this as an ad on social media!! 💞

I first tried kiwi underglaze while at NCECA this year and I absolutely fell in love with how vibrant their colors are 😍the photos speak for themselves!! (The first one is in sunlight and second is under my studio’s lights!) 💫 by @kiwiunderglaze

I had so much fun layering different underglazes to bring these autumn leaves to life 🍂

I’ve been wanting to try @kiwiunderglaze for a while now, especially since they’re a New Zealand company (and NZ is close to my heart) 🇳🇿 but getting my hands on them over here on the Vancouver Island isn’t the easiest!

I was lucky enough to be gifted some of their range to try, and I’ve loved working with them so far. The consistency was 👌 and having so many colours to play with made layering and mixing shades so much fun!

Hi!! New kid on the pottery block here, just out here trying to find my signature style (and pretending like I know what I’m doing 😂).

I am LOVING how these roses turned out using @kiwiunderglaze . The colours are so vibrant and beautiful, and I’m already dreaming up my next attempt at florals!

Is there probably faster ways of making my cross stitch dot designs... probably 🤷‍♀️ Will I ever change how I do them... probably not!

In all honesty, I find a lot of enjoyment and connection to my pieces when I lay each dot myself. Not every dot is perfect but the unity of all the dots working together is beautiful, individually perfect or not. by @kiwiunderglaze
