To my Hampton family,
Thank you for showing me what “it takes a village” truly means. I walked in guarded, but found family,people who saw me, held me, and helped me grow.My light might be shining now, but that light was built from every laugh, late-night talk, and moment of love we shared. We locked in for life.

To SLP,
Thank you for unlocking something in me I didn’t even know was there. I used to say I’d never join, especially not sophomore year, and now look at me, forever grateful I was wrong. Joining SLP was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. To 37, my family, my heart, I love y’all more than words can explain . I’ve never felt so seen, so held, so understood by a group of people. We laughed together, cried together, lifted each other up, and carried one another through it all. You gave me a forever family and a lifetime of memories. I only hope I poured back into you the way you poured into me.

To my bigs,
I never truly had big brothers growing up, but y’all gave me a glimpse of what that love and protection feels like. You showed me that vulnerability isn’t weakness, it’s strength in its truest form. Thank you for being my anchor when I didn’t know I needed one.

To my littles,
Thank you for allowing me to pour into you, for trusting me to guide you through some of the most pivotal years of your life. I’ll always be a call away, always.

To my parents,
Thank you for giving me the space to be me, unapologetically. As the firstborn, I often felt pressure to be perfect, to never fall short. But you never asked me to be perfect, you just asked me to be myself. Your sacrifices, your faith, your unwavering support, they are the reason I made it. I am defying odds because of you, and I carry your strength in everything I do.

To my siblings,
You are the reason behind it all. Your love, your pride, your belief in me, it kept me going. I wasn’t just chasing this dream for me, but for us. I hope I’ve made you proud. Just remember: you are powerful, you are worthy, and your journey is far from over. Keep shining. by @kiyahjackson_

Today, I am a Hampton Alumna.

“He planted strength where I saw struggle, and today I bloom.”

Through every trial and tribulation, I held on sometimes by a thread, sometimes by faith alone. There were nights I questioned if I could keep going, mornings that came too fast after restless sleep, and moments where the weight of it all felt unbearable. But even then, God covered me.

He covered me in silence when I couldn’t find the words. He carried me through every storm I didn’t think I’d survive. Each late night spent studying, every tear shed in frustration, every quiet prayer whispered under my breath, He heard it all.

This degree is more than just a paper. It’s a symbol of resilience, of grace, of divine timing. It’s proof that trusting the process, one step at a time, is worth it.

To the girl who once doubted herself, you made it. And to God who never left my side, Thank You.

Here’s to a journey that made me stronger, softer, and more faithful. I walked through the fire, and now I shine with purpose.
