POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

31st October 2015 we rigged our first highline together.
We met at a gathering in Sokoliki, Poland. With Stephan and Holger, and no rigging experience, we hung 36 meters long "Wide Space". It's probably our first photo together (Kasia hanging on the line under the rest of the team).

Since then we rigged a lot of different lines, many of them just two of us. Here are some highlights from the last decade:
2015 - Sokoliki, Poland
2016 - Athens, Greece
2017 - Kobylany, Poland
2018 - Mallorca, Spain
2019 - Teneriffa, Spain
2020 - Lazarev Canyon, Serbia
2021 - Volkenrode, Germany
2022 - Dolomites, Italy
2023 - Gipfelstürmernadel, Austria
2024 - Patagonia, Chile
2025 - Langtang, Himalaya, Nepal by @km_slackliners

Tower Lines are Highlining in its most perfect form. ⛰️

Gipfelstürmernadel (2360 m.a.s.l.)

The idea to rig the line(s) to this tower came already some time ago. Once it turned out that @lukasirmler had it also already in mind, so when we met him in Czechia, we asked to join us directly after highline festival.

To bring up all the highline, climbing gear, camping stuff and food, we needed 2 days... Twice 1400 meters high with big backpacks. Was it a planning mistake? No. We wanted to rig 2 lines at the same time. And we needed a lot of slings for a natural anchor in the tower.

Climbing the tower was easier than we were expecting. The other anchors were more challenging to access, because of loose rocks and rare crags to put any active protection.

Unfortunately, bad weather during the rigging day let us finish only one line before the sunrise. The next day we put up the second one, so we could have our parallel session. 👫 Later on, we changed the full setup into one longer line.

On Gipfelstürmernadel were already rigged highlines in 2009 and 2011 (Photo 10). But we couldn't find or didn't want to use the old anchors (respect for the wooden wedges, too scary for us 😅)

Highlines:

- Gipfelstürmer (36,5m)

- Underage Sister of Gipfelstürmer (17,5m)

- Cookie Crumble (30m)

It's been a few weeks since our last trip to Poland. To one of our favorite spots to meet many of our favorite people. It was probably the sunniest and warmest weekend this year. 🫠 Soo gooood...
