Magnums of Rosé All Day! by @kolinjuckins

Kicking off the 2026 Milwaukee Brewers baseball season with 2004 vintage @krugchampagne!

Nicknamed Luminous Freshness, this blend consists of 39% Chardonnay, 37% Pinot Noir, and 24% Meunier. by @kolinjuckins

Most people who know me know I have been a vegetarian for more than half my life. While my decision to become a vegetarian was made due to health reasons, I often get asked if there is any one item I miss the most. It is always Italian Beef. by @kolinjuckins

I thought this 2009 Les Forts de Latour was going to be the star of the night, but little did I know our dinner would blow this away. If you ever have the opportunity to dine @trestle_sf go. Don't hesitate, just go. The passion exuded by the entire team was palatable and truly refreshing. A dining experience @_le.sweet and I won't soon forget. Thank you again @mndbyr, @tairicci, and @hineighborgroup! Also, the 2009 Les Forts while still young was in a great place with a few hours of decanting. I look forward to revisiting this in another 10 years. by @kolinjuckins

I wanted to take a moment and thank Winemaker Greg Morthole of @davisbynumwines, along with @rsvineyards for being my host winery at this year's @pinotforum. I could not have asked for a more gracious host winery. As a thank you, I brought 2 birth year bottles of @rsvineyards Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon to share at our welcome dinner with some new friends @meridithsommjournal and @aardvarkwineandbeer. The first bottle was a little past its prime, but the second bottle was sound and drinking very well. Still had tons of fruit and was a fun way to kick off the weekend. by @kolinjuckins

@pinotforum as you can guess you taste a truckload of pinot noir, but you also learn a ton about viticulture, viniculture, and enology. The discussion and tasting around the neighborhoods within the Russian River Valley was by far one of the most insightful things I took away.

During those few days, I also got to revisit some of my favorite producers and be introduced to some new names in the valley. One of those was @lando_wines. Winemaker @sam_.lando__ and his wife Jennifer are truly wonderful people working with some amazing fruit. While their wines are not available in Chicago yet I recommend anyone who has access to these wines to give them a taste. They were consistently some of the best wines I tasted all weekend.

I want to thank all the wineries again for hosting us. It was an honor to be a part of the 2023 @pinotforum and I hope to be invited back again in the future. by @kolinjuckins

Always an honor to be back @emerituswines. The famed Hallberg Ranch, sought after for its Goldridge soils and marine influence is truly a special place. Thankful to @marzcpj and @riggslokka for hosting us during the 2023 @pinotforum. by @kolinjuckins

2001 was the first time I ever attended the Indy 500. @heliocastroneves made his debut and won the 85th running of this iconic race. He won again in 2002, quickly solidifying himself in the racing world. I attended my second race in 2003, adding the ticket stub featuring Helio from his back-to-back win in 2002 to my collection. Fun fact, the practice of using a driver's picture on the ticket began in 1947 and still exists today.

As a kid, I wanted to attend every year so I could collect each ticket. Little did I know it wouldn't be until 20 years later that I finally got to return to the @indianapolismotorspeedway for my 35th birthday. Helio is still my all-time favorite driver and it was amazing to finally be back seeing him compete again. Thank you to my amazing brother-in-law @duc.duc.sweet and wondering wife @_le.sweet for making this day possible. Also, thank you to @hopbutcher for keeping me hydrated all day long. by @kolinjuckins

When @_le.sweet and I celebrated our engagement @lecoucou_nyc we opened this 2001 @pichonbaron. The day was full of so many emotions I think I forgot to share with her why I chose this wine to represent such a special occasion. With 30 days until our big day in the big apple, I felt now was a great time to share.

2001 is often forgotten and overshadowed by the fantastic 2000 vintage, yet this simple example represents a more complex thought regarding the ups and downs of any relationship. That could be a vintner with mother nature or one we share as a couple. Collectors are often quick to buy wine from great vintages, sometimes overlooking the challenging years, yet for the most part, the wine is made the same. I would argue that even more attention to detail is needed during difficult vintages, just like a relationship going through a tough season. The results can still be magical if the foundation is strong.

Then, there is the history of the estate. On the night of his death in 1850, Baron Joseph de Pichon Longueville divided his Pauillac estate between his five children. Two-fifths to his two sons, and three-fifths to his three daughters. The sons received what became @pichonbaron. The women received what would become @pichon_comtesse. While both produce different styles of wine, often noted as a result of ownership, they provide a unique opportunity for collection and enjoyment from both of these estates as we start our lives together. Lauren, I am thankful for you and for all that we get to share. I love our life together and can't wait to share many more memories around great food and even better wine. by @kolinjuckins

Flashback to last years @lafetenyc with @_le.sweet. Can’t wait to be back in our city soon! by @kolinjuckins

Only @delilahschicago would you find this beer and shot combo! @millerhighlife chased by 2013 @gooseisland Bourbon County Stout. by @kolinjuckins

Mazateca #2 from @spectrumcoffees is a field blend of Typica and Bourbon. Imported from @ositocoffee, these varieties compose the most culturally and genetically important groups of coffees in the world. Sourced from the remote parts of the Sierra Mazateca mountains; at the northern tip of the state of Oaxaca. As part of the Sierra Madre del Sur and the Sierra Madre Oriental, the land is surrounded by high mountains, cliffs, and is largely comprised of hills covered in mesophytic forests that are bathed by constant rains and the intermittent presence of mist. This geography creates difficult but ideal growing conditions of high quality and complex coffees.

A full-bodied, well-balanced cup of coffee with excellent depth and structure. Orange acidity, and dark chocolate lead with subtle notes of berry compote, and roasted nuts make this a real winner. This is a perfect coffee for the fall.
