What does 4.5 years of consistency, discipline, and sheer willpower look like? This.

130+ pounds lost.

After doing the hard work and accomplishing such an incredible weight loss journey, she was ready to address the loose skin and volume changes that can remain even after reaching weightloss goals. (The second picture shows her true before and how hard she worked to lose the weight)

She is fully recovered from:
✨ Bilateral breast augmentation with lift
✨ 285cc Motiva Ergonomix implants placed over the muscle
✨ Internal bra mesh support
✨ Drainless tummy tuck with liposuction contouring

My goal with body contouring after massive weight loss is never to “change” someone — it’s to help match the outside to the strength, confidence, and hard work that already exists within.

Her results are still uniquely HER… just more lifted, tightened, and refined after years of dedication to herself. So damn proud of this patient and the commitment it took to get here. 🤍

DRAIN-LESS tummy tucks explained:

Think of your abdominal skin like a carpet. In a tummy tuck we lift that “carpet” (skin and fat), repair the ab muscles underneath, then instead of just letting the carpet fall back and leaving a space beneath it open, I use progressive tension sutures to gently tack the carpet back down to the floor (the underlying muscle fascia). Those tacking sutures close the space where fluid would collect, so we avoid the entire need for drains.

The drain-less approach helped me a achieve:
✅ an easier recovery for my patients
✅a more contoured and aggressive surgical result
✅ much lower incidence of fluid collections (seromas)

Why don’t all surgeons offer this approach?

Not everyone was trained in the drain-less technique. This approach takes extra time and steps in the operating room. I choose it because I want my patients to heal with less pain and feel confident in a more refined result. But to each their own!

A before-and-after should demonstrate REAL change and genuine transformations.

Patients deserve transparency.

As a surgeon, overpromising and under-delivering on results is a set-up for disaster. Your results should speak for themselves. You shouldn’t have to manufacture a misleading “before” to sell a better “after.”

And did that happen here?

ALLEGEDLY*

*(My legal team has asked me to incorporate this word into my vocabulary more frequently if I insist on social media🙄)

Let me know your thoughts in the comment section 👀

Behind every successful surgeon is an MA wondering where the hell they just disappeared off to.

I can operate straight through a six-hour case with laser focus...but ask me to sit down and finish my to-do list? 🏃🏽‍♀️ 💨

First you gotta catch this feral cat.

My medical assistant Courtney deserves a raise, a medal, and an air tag tracking device for me….

and if you’re still waiting on your scripts to be sent. Just know Courtney is somewhere out there chasing after me. I couldn’t survive without this woman, grateful for her every day 👯‍♀️🫶🏽

Me: PLEASE don’t make a big deal about my birthday.

Also me when no one makes a big enough deal about my birthday: 🚩

Honestly it’s exhausting to be this way, but someone has to? 💅🏽

Who can relate?

PS: where are my Libra birthday divas at??

Never a normal day working with these women @reddyplasticsurgery Especially when there’s a medical mystery before noon 😩

But also this took a crazy turn when there actually was a groin mass so everyone um, send some prayers up for Maureen in HR 🫪💀🙇🏽‍♀️

Anyone who has trained in a hospital knows there’s a long-standing, mildly contentious relationship between the Medicine and Surgery teams.

Medicine is always a little suspicious of surgery, and every once in a while… Medicine has a point. 😂 (I know this too well because I married to a team Medicine🫪)

But my favorite part of this story is actually the medical student.

While the rest of us focused on discharge planning and the big picture, the medical student took the time to get to know the patient and was able to meaningfully contribute to their plan of care.

A good reminder that EVERY member of the team can still bring enormous value and perspective. 🤍

Every year on Kian and Nilou’s birthdays, our family comes together to thank God for the gift of another year with them and pray for their continued health, happiness, and protection. 🤍

Preserving our culture and passing these traditions on to our children means more to me with every passing year.

Kian means “king”, and he truly is the king of our hearts. 👑

Happy 7th birthday, Kian. Being your mom will forever be one of my greatest blessings. ❤️🧿

The betrayal is coming from inside the practice 😩😩💀

But I do be stressing these women out 24/7/365 so deep down I get it. BUT ALSO THEY KNOW HOW SENSITIVE I AM. 🫩

And we ALL know if we could take one person out on the staff, it would always be H.R. 😒
