Happy birthday to our Megan/meggie/megaliciousness/youregivingusaMegraine 🤍

Five years of girls’ trips, adventures, questionable decisions, unforgettable memories, and somehow managing to do life and work alongside each other without completely losing the plot.

Megan is an incredible injector and colleague, a supremely dedicated mom, and often the calm eye of the storm of chaos we create around her 😂🤍

There is something so special about getting to work every day with someone you genuinely love, admire, and trust. I feel incredibly lucky that our careers brought us together, but even luckier that somewhere along the way, a colleague became one of my closest friends.

I’m so grateful for every laugh, every memory, every true crime case, every meeting with lawyers, every group chat, and every moment of the last five years.

Happy birthday to one of the absolute best. We love you so much! 🥂🤍✨

Will this change your “practice”? We ask that often in medicine, on whether a study’s impact is enough to change your practice of medicine.

Evidence from the MASALA study
Read below re: The Hindu/Jain way of life, attending religious services (eg mandir), reading scriptures, and the yogic system.

“Lay Summary
This analysis examined how religious involvement is connected to health behaviors and related outcomes among South Asians living in the United States—a population often underrepresented in health research. Using data from 983 participants in the Mediators of Atherosclerosis Among South Asians Living in America study, it examined links between religious involvement and outcomes such as diet, physical activity, alcohol use,
smoking, body weight, and overall health. Findings showed that attending religious services was associated with healthier diets and less alcohol use. Group prayer was linked to lower physical activity, while solitary prayer was associated with unhealthier body weight. Reading scripture was connected to healthier body weight and less alcohol use. Notably, practicing yoga was tied to multiple healthier outcomes, including better overall health, healthier diet, more physical activity, healthier body weight, and less alcohol and tobacco use. Religious affiliation also mattered. Hindus and Jains tended to have healthier diets, while Muslims showed worse overall health, less physical activity, but less alcohol use. Sikhs had
unhealthier body weight and higher alcohol use. The study suggests that yoga and religious attendance may be especially important for health and that some religious groups may benefit from further study and policy consideration”

POV: you walk into Reddy Plastic Surgery and there’s a Sciton BBL + MOXI just casually chilling in your room like it wasn’t on my dream-device list. 😅

For a second, I considered a very dramatic “oops… how did this get in my car?” moment, but don’t worry — I sadly left her in her rightful home at Reddy Plastic Surgery.

I do miss having BBL and MOXI in my treatment toolbox, though. These devices are amazing for targeting pigmentation, redness, sun damage, uneven tone, texture, and that overall skin-refresh glow.

One day, Adorn. One day. ✨

Until then, we keep working toward the goal — because advanced skin treatments are definitely part of the vision.
