Figured it was time to update these with book three’s title reveal. If you’re looking for action-packed fantasy books to dive into, look no further.

In a world where magic turns humans feral, a human prince, with the help of his emotionless protector, seeks to end a century-old war with magic beings. He’s sharp of mind. She’s deadly with a blade. Yet, the secrets that forged her could be their very undoing.

There are some new and newer folks here, so I thought I’d reintroduce myself. 👋🏻

Apart from the writer- and reader-related stuff I mention in the slides, I’ll also highlight:

• I love music. I’ve included one of my favourite songs as the audio for this post.
• I love literary analysis. I have a BA in English Lit, which is where my love for that originated.
• I’m quiet and pensive most times, but I can be talkative around those I’m comfortable with.
• I love tattoos. I have six and want more.

This is me in a nutshell. But if you have questions, you’re welcome to ask. 🫶🏻 by @labartonwrites

All my book babies.

Because as much as Secret Minders is my main focus right now, it’s not my only series.

I had a question recently about the *other* books on my Goodreads author page. If they’re mine. If I know they’re there.

They are. I do.

Project Dermatillomania is a non-fiction anthology series (maybe only duology; not sure if there will be more) born from an effort to help people find healing and raise awareness for a disorder few talk about and fewer know. Dermatillomania—diagnostically, excoriation (skin picking) disorder—was added to the DSM-V in 2013. It’s currently classed, along with trichotillomania (hair pulling disorder), as an Obsessive-Compulsive Related Disorder. You may also hear it referred to as a body-focused repetitive behaviour (BFRB).

It’s something I’ve lived with since I was five (though I have no formal diagnosis). It’s something that’s shaped me and how I view the world to my core. And therefore, it’s also shaped how I approach characters as well.

So while I don’t often mention Project Dermatillomania, these books are important to me. They’re just vastly different from my fantasy novels, like Killing Secrets and Echoing Secrets.

Anyway, here’s a little looksie into all my books.

Feel free to drop questions if you have them. 🫶🏻 by @labartonwrites

I was in Smiths Falls, Ontario this weekend and left the books one and two of my fantasy trilogy in a couple Little Free Libraries. ☺️

There were actually a ton of Little Free Libraries around, but I only had so many books with me. Oh well, next time! by @labartonwrites

My love for Little Free Libraries knows no bounds. 💙

Every once in a while, I check the Little Free Library map in the app to see if any new ones have popped up. Spotted this one today, and I had to pop by. So glad I did! by @labartonwrites
